- Today we test the mighty MT410 2.0 Monster Truck, which is a kit that requires the electronics, a body and tires, but it's worth it! Under the hood, this truck is built with 1/8 spec parts and 1/8 steel drivetrain, and it absolutely rips!

We were wrong in the video! For the 17mm conversion, the TKR9588 Driveshafts are needed, and then the TKR5569 17mm Hexes.

is the arrma outcast v2.5 not the best basher?
Time for a little Rc doctorin
I came across a 410.3 roller a few years ago for 100 bucks and let me tell you, this thing simply could not be any better. I've taken it racing so many times now and have yet to break a single thing on it. Yes I know I probably just jinxed myself but it's just such a good, durable (but it is heavy) platform. Built like a tank would be a good description.
Proline missed taking over this market. They had one with the pro 4x4 😢
You guys need to get into plastic ramp business and make them affordable!!!!! They are impossible to find
@nathanappleby7740 Fat Alien RC had some promising looking ramps coming out some time ago and then they seemed to have disappeared and the ramp never materialized. I couldn't agree with you more though, a somewhat affordable and preferably portable rc ramp is needed.
I converted my SCT 410 2.0 to a long wheelbase MT 410 2.0, it's so much fun!
What do you need to do that? Is the SCT 2.0 same width just longer?
@INSIDIOUS-ONE The body mounts, Wheelie Bar, Wheels and Tyres and a new body and remove the bash bars on the side. Took an hour to change things over. Once you remove the bash bars it's the same width I think.
my biggest pet peeve in the RC world is calling buggies or bashers with large wheels 'monster trucks'. They're not trucks and basically have nothing in common with monster trucks. Idk where it came from, probably from marketing a while ago and it stuck with us
Absolutely nailed that jump! 🚀🚀 I really wish they would have improved off the original MT410 which used the EB48.3 chassis and truggy arms. This isn't a true MT 410 successor in my eyes.
I totally agree an unfortunately is misleading vs the original MT410v1 , I'm glad I still own my original mt410 and also have a brand new sealed kit in the basement, for another beast build
What a little ripper on 4S! Some epic durability testing Brett. TEKNO TOUGH it's worth the premium and you know how to fix everything when you build it from a kit.
0:20 omg who put the rock there?! weeeeeeeee
We should praise dude on the weight loss..Congrats brotha lookin great
I love that this exists, because I do enjoy some bashing but I absolutely can't stand RTRs. I know most folks just want to run their RCs, but a big part of the enjoyment for me is putting them together. I'd even take some of the existing vehicles that are RTRs but just showing up as a box o' parts.
A rock not much larger than the one you hit at 11:45 is what took out my X-maxx yesterday until I get the new arms in the mail.
That is one impressive 10th scale.
Dude, that 45 mile an hour ramp launch was awesome😂🔥💯👍🏼
Brett i think? This guy is probably the best reviewer on TH-cam. Dude is actually intelligent which is rare for people in the hobby lol. Also knows when to take things seriously and when not to. Its cool Amain makes videos like this.
Had an mt410 kit i built with top quality parts 3 years ago. I sold it after driving it for 5 minutes...it was too nice and felt like a race machine. For my neanderthal antics the kraton and talion i had made more sense 😆
Now that looks slick, finally a truck that looks good.
That rock hit was epic. 😳🤘🏼
that backflip was PHAT
That 3s battery at 6:48 is exactly what I'm using in my 80 mph 3s Kyosho Fazer build. Built with a Castle 1410 3800kv motor purchased from A-Main hobby of course!
Body and wheel/tire combo looks awesome
Been meaning to build that SCT still, pretty solid platform it looks like! That jump was insane, proper driving my man!
That's the way for kyosho platforms for sure...kudos tekno
This truck looks absolutely great, thanks for the great vid.
Great review Brett!! Love your videos. -- That seems like a rather great truck. Looks like parts are readily available too.
Shoutout to Marshall, one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. My whole family and girlfriend always ask if he’s gonna be at the next race! ❤️
@AMain_Hobbies Thank you for making a point to give us a good look at the underside of the chassis after videos like this, 12:47 so we can see the absolute pounding that these take I like to see that and not everyone does it. Thanks for posting!
nice truck for sure
great video as always
Awesome rig brother definitely going to check that out
The body ending up like that is why it's such a shame they cost so much.
Should have added some drywall tape and shoegoo or E6000.
Waste of time
@@hiramrodriguez4323 majority of guys do it
this one looks very cool 😃😃nice flips, nice air drive, nice jumps ...
Nice driving on that full speed launch and flip, Brent!
IMO get an Arrma Granite 3s if you want a 1/10 scale basher monster and save yourself almost $500 dollars. Our Granites go 51 MPH and we jump them 30ft in the air with our KCRC basher ramp with no issues. That said let the hate comments begin lol.
I don't understand the market on these. The Tekno is like $450 just for the roller.. and the idea I guess is that it's built super durable with super durable parts to last but it's still going to break bashing the crap out of it. Then you pay for more expensive parts. Plus the things like $1000 just to complete it. The Arrma 3s stuff seems the perfect balance. Guys who like bashers forced them to make them tough so then I can get like a $350 RTR truck to just drive around forever and probably never need to replace anything. The Big Rock at $350 is basically a 1/10 scale in nearly a 1/8 scale size cause of the wheelbase. It can run 5.5" tires no problem.
The more insanely durable and rigid and tough I feel like a basher is made, the more likely it's going to cause major problems with a lot of abuse. I just can't imagine consumable parts failing like they are supposed to without also being so tough they also mess up whatever they were attached to.
Completely agreed
Body looks sick🔥
Damn, i´ve always wanted a tekno... this thing looks crazy 🤩
Awesome ❤
Ots always the left dogbone popping out. Should've been 2mm longer.
I had a DX5 for my XMaxx....good radio for the money. I don't have one anymore, been using Dumbo for most of my rigs.
The power it has on 4s, I’d try 1/2 to 1 million weight oil, for the centre diff. Awesome Video as always 😎
Good video, great rc. had to change the droop screws to a longer ones, constant issue with the dog bones coming out in the rear. It’s solid after that.
This thing is indestructible
Great just great 👍
That was a great review💯. I like it. take it out and do what most people would do with it and maybe even a little more boom. Specially, if you live in the urban area.
KING OF BASHERS!!!!
I have a maxx and I agree. I guarantee MT 410 handles so much better goes straight like you said the max is a good truck though that would be an awesome showdown.Maxx vs Mt 410. Durability/, handling, stuntabilty, overall performance.🔥🔥👍🏼
I know tekno is race kits mostly
But I’d buy a 1/5 version kit in a hart beat if they ever make one
Thier quality is top notch
I have an EB 48.4, an EB 48 2.1 and a MT410 and all 3 are nearly indestructible. Especially with my MT410, I really bashed it and I did not break anything. The 48.4 starts to have minor issues, but it is more to the mileage of the parts (wearout) than actual breaking.
Tekno is expensive, but they are tough as a nail.
That things a beast. Great video!
I never thought they could replace the sct410.3, but I be damm they did! The sct410 2.0 is a very close 2nd!
sick driving and you guys got same crazy shots!
The one thing i don't like, is needing to (over)use the droop screws to keep the dogbones in. I'd like to keep the stance high but then again, i noticed that most popular bashers have pretty straight angles on the wheel vs driveshaft vs diff angles. The cars that do have lots of angle seem to have diffcup/driveshaft issues. Is this simply the tradeoff or are there exceptions?
That dang ol dog bone! Lol
Reminds me of the Proline 4x4 mt.
Brett told the truth. It is a very expensive route. I built the SCT 2.0 earlier this year, plus all the option parts. BRUH…you get what you pay for. Most expensive build I’ve ever done. Built to last though.
The Skeeter was built using the same 8th-10th scale principal
The motor mount? I would join up all those holes
It's an awesome truck, sadly it has one weak spot. The plastic spur gear. I've burned thru several already
nice👍
Great review what a nice car. What would you think about TeamMagic E5HX 4S or ARR compared to the Tekno? Cheers
TEKNO #1 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Them rocks are terrible out there! I wouldn’t rip my rigs around there😳… that’s what we your channel for bro🤙🏻
Okay question about the gear mesh. Did you use tekno pinions or protek? I found protek mod one pinions to be MASSIVE vs traxxas of the same tooth count. A 20t traxxas pinion first the 20t spot on an Xmaxx, but a 20t protek needs 21t pinion setting.
i need one
Tekno quality is 2nd to none 💪
Broo vanquish phoenix rede??? Pliss rply asap
Is it tougher than the Associated MT10 v2 ?¿?
I really want the shocks for my traxxas.... but I cant find them available as a complete set.... :/
Brent really testing the limits 😂
there are 12-17mm inserts
Ok. I run order it.
Bret don't ever put traxxas maxx and tekno in the same sentence again, please! Lol great video
Looks like a fun r/c as stated though, pricy.
Yeah quite alot of isse with this so called best basher in a very short timespan
I would buy a nitro version instantly
2:32 Prepare to have issues with these rear skids screws……😩
That's a real nice looking rig but it kind of blows my mind there's a market for people who want to spend a thousand bucks completing an awesome truck just to go destroy it
Rival mt10.
hi
Arguably, traxxas maxx
So really what you're saying is this is an 8th scale car with a small body.
That thing is RAD!! I want one! A MAIN needs to build you a little basher park for testing lol. Awesome vid!
This vs a mt10
4s is a bit much for that car in my humble opinion
For the price non flanged nuts should come included with upgrade RC tires… that would suck to receive them and have to wait on another order for nuts… then hope they fit
first
That sucks not an rtr
There is no better bragging right than to say you built it yourself.
TEKNO builds will make you sweat, curse, and scream. When it’s finished, it will make your friends sweat, curse, and scream as you destroy them.
@@spinrushrc very true. I was on the verge of tears when building my SCT 2.0. I am using it for racing. This thing outlasted many racetrack elements. When every vehicle around me breaks down, SCT just keeps on going.
RC cars are dumb. All they do is break.
I am only keeping a small number of well tuned cars.
These things just drain time and money. As much as I love bashing I’m pivoting to scale driving.
I’ve felt the same way a number of times . Mine only started to break when I start doing flips off a ramp . One time I hit a pole at full speed with my first RC 😂
If you are 'sending it', yes they break down. No surprises here. When you are racing clean with minor incidents on the way, they will last for years, with proper maintenance.
i use clear roofing sealant cuz its cheaper but you should do the shoe goo mesh job on that body and show how you can reduce creasing and where its important to reinforce if you want to keep it light etc
