i think i saw somewhere that they give the animals drugs to calm them for videos like this. I dont know if they are harmful but i am alwaysy very scepltical when it comes to contend like this.
@@hornbach9279 Whether or not you need to sedate an animal depends on the animal, the person and the location.
An animal showing its belly is a very vulnerable position, them letting you do it means they have a deep trust in you. They definitely won't lie on their back for everyone. Some dogs will let you trim their nails with them standing up or sitting down, but not with them on their back.
The ones who won't let you do anything are the ones that need sedation.
Location is also important, if the animal is in a place they feel is safe, they're more likely to be easier to work with. If they're in an unfamiliar place, they're much less likely to be easy to work with.
I've had plenty of abused rescues that will let me groom them at home on their back, or in any position I need them to be in to brush hair/clip nails; But under no circumstance will they cooperate at the vet, and usually have to be muzzled because they fear and hate strangers. I don't blame them, some of my rescues came from horrible situations of abuse and neglect.

I'd take being a domesticated dog over being a human any day. the ONLY thing I'd regret about it is not amounting to much in life.
He looks like he has done this before! Sitting back and enjoying the treat at the end. My dog used to let me clip her toenails lie that. She would just lay back like she was getting a manicure, until one day I clipped her just a little too close. 😫 Then that was the end of that, she didnt teust me anymore. Love how he lets them brush his teeth. Much easier if you train as a puppy.
