There’s only one song that tops Slipknot and that’s Daddy by Korn. A very sad and emotional song, with Johnathan Davis actually crying. But if you look at Slipknots history of songs, Slipknot is far heavier. Disasterpeice, Iowa, Prosthetics, People = Shit, Snuff (more emotional than heavy), Left Behind.
Disasterpeice is a song about someone being harassed to the point where they fantasize about killing them.
Iowa is about necrophilia.
Prosthetics is based of the film The Collecter, a movie in which a man with an obsession with a girl can’t speak to her. Instead of taking the realization that he can’t talk to her, he kidnaps her to be his.
People = Shit is basically the title. People treating others like worthless garbage.
Snuff deals with heartache and the horrible feeling of being left and forgotten.
Left Behind is a song about the lead singer being constantly homeless. Having to be in poverty, moving houses.
Corey (vocalist/lead writer) had a lot of darkness in his life. He’s been in extreme poverty at a young age. Abusive boyfriends his mother had. His mother being sexually abused, and him having to listen to it all. He was also raped by a 16 year old boy, who then burned his house down and ran away.
Corey has had traumatic events in his life. This all expresses into his music. This is a band that kids like Corey can listen too, when things are seemingly hopeless.
No Good Life i don't mean emotionally heavy, i mean like a heavy sound
KoЯn is dark.
But Slipknot is brutal.
Korn doesn't really focus on guitar but rather the effects and atmosphere, while slipknot main focus after the overall rhythm is guitar riffs that are straight up brutal.
Conclusion: " I need both of them in my life "

Due to the speed, thrash and death metal influences of the Slipknot riffs they are killing it from the technical side but I feel Korn being more innovative in using guitars creating this unique sound! Therefore there is no winner to me! Both or better all four are outstanding artists and for me you just can't compare them...!

I love both for what they are. I tend to like Korn for their offputting weird riffs and groove as well for their depressing vibes. For Slipknot, I love the heavy riffs and just the pure aggression they put off.
I absolutely love both of these bands but Korn will always be my favorite band of all time. I have been listening to Korn since all the way back in kindergarten and I’m damn near a legal adult now. The one band I specifically remember listening to on the way home from school with my dad was Korn and as soon as I heard them I was hooked. I remember sitting in school waiting to get in the car and blast Korn’s Greatest Hits Vol. 1 album with my dad in the car. I have always loved Korn’s heavy riffs, unique and unmatchable sound, image, message, and pretty much everything about them. Their music was very therapeutic for me when I wanted to kill my self, felt so numb, had to tell my life’s story to strangers while at the mental health facility, couldn’t bear to go to school because I was so miserable, etc. it helped me realize I wasn’t alone, that other people understood what I was going through, and mental health issues were more common than I thought. The heaviness helped me release the anger. Not to mention how amazing Jonathan’s voice is, talented Munky and Head are, the amazing drumming, the pioneering sound, and everything that makes Korn who they are. If I wasn’t listening to Korn as soon as I was born I may not be a MetalHead. Korn was the gateway band for me. I love Slipknot but I have a deeper connection to Korn, have only been listening to Slipknot for 3-4 years, and love how unique Korn’s sound is.
I have to go with Slipknot. But remeber. Without Korn we wouldn´t have Slipknot

SlipKnoT have pro guitarists, but for me Korn wins . That creepy detuned guitars and unusual riffs got me on Korn

KoRn easily has way more influence and catchier riffs. Slipknot does have some sic ass technical riffs though. It's tough cause I grew up with both these bands when I was 12 back in 1999 but I'm going with my boys KoRn.

Korn are pioneers in terms of unsettling, heavy andccreepy riffs as well as popularizing 7 strings and down tuning. Slipknot added to that by making riffs fast and brutal with easily identifiable tone.
Can't choose between the two though. They're both amazing.

Slipknot is definitely the more technical band having groovier riffs (for the most part), and Korn is best at creating a dissonant and kinda creepy atmosphere, especially with the use of pinch harmonics.

I no nothing about the technicalities of guitar but I LOVE korn!! Theirs sounds better to me but I like slipknot too. To me nobody sounds like korn. They are my absolute favorite group of all time. They are both great though.

I’m gonna have to go with Slipknot, their Self-Titled was an absolute masterpiece along with Iowa and their new stuff. Scissors and Prosthetics are the prolly 2 most creative songs of all time, along with being extremely heavy and crazy leaving you on the edge of ur seat the whole ride.

Pantera was my absolute first love. ( i was in grade 6) than i found korn slipknot i was in grade 9 i believe got me through high school along with NIN. I was in college and in tears when i heard bout Dimebag. Ever since no band can match his EPIC solos!
