It's been a tough couple years. So much life has happened, and I never really got a chance to process what was happening until it had already passed.
I decided this year was the one I'd go out and live again, and started doing new things and going to new places.
I started going to therapy a couple months ago, and at my last session a couple weeks ago, I gave some more background as to where I'm coming from and what's gone on in the past few years in my life. She said:
"You've been through a lot of big changes and tough situations lately, and honestly you're handling them all pretty well. Don't be harsh on yourself, you're doing great.
Maybe it's time to give yourself a break."
So that's what I'm doing, I've been letting all those anxieties about life go, and appreciating the moments for what they are. It's not like I don't feel any pain from loss or anything like that, but I feel peaceful again, like God's looking at me and going "There you go, you made it through. Descobri essa canção um dia antes do meu cachorrinho, meu amigo que esteve comigo a mais de 10 anos falecer nos meus braços lutando pra sobreviver depois de um colapso de traquéia e eu impotente sem poder fazer nada pra ajudar, enquanto a veterinária corria contra o tempo para chegar até minha casa, eu não tenho carro, e ela chegou tarde dimais.
E desde então sempre que ouço essa música lembro dos seus últimos momentos, é muito triste, mas apesar de tudo eu sempre vou levá-lo comigo no coração e espero reencontrar ele um dia no pós-vida.
