Donnie’s was an excellent list. Even with Doughnuts being an outlier compared to the other great picks, the overall quality on the list carries him. Barack’s list was solid, but bagels and scrambled eggs bring it down. I love scrambled eggs, but when compared to other egg dishes (even on his own list), they’re pretty basic. Same goes for Bagels. If you want a sad, less delicious doughnut, get a bagel. Joe’s list is exactly how Donnie described pancakes: highest floor, lowest ceiling. You can’t go wrong with any of Joe’s picks, but when it comes to the best of the best, he falls short.

I keep coming back to this video, it just feels very comfortable. When I first ranked the drafts, Don won it for me because of the variety and experimentation. However I think another aspect is how most of his dishes can stand on their own. Pancakes, eggs and bacon are great, but they need to come in a group, as they're not so great by themselves. But things like the omelette and hash can be presented on their own and make a satisfying meal. In fact, a lot of diners do that. Just put a glass of OJ or cup of coffee on the side, and you're off to the races! And I can't count the number of times I've had french toast by itself, especially when stuffed with mascarpone cheese! GOATed! Barack and Joe's lists are fine, but there's not much you can do to change up the flavors. I appreciate Obama's list because you can have a lot of fun with what you put on a breakfast sandwich, and bagels lend themselves to some great experimentation. (lox and bagels, anyone?) But as for the rest, it more or less is determined by what you put on the waffles, how well you cook the eggs (or what you mix in), or what kind of bacon you buy. With Joe, the only dishes you can really mess around with is the burrito and the pancakes, and a breakfast burrito can be god awful if you get it from the wrong place, or just really bland if you keep it basic. And, as Donnie said, there's not really too much you can do to a normal pancake to make it taste better, unless you're adding fruit or some other filling. And his choices of sides aren't really helping him. Eggs by themselves isn't anything spectacular unless you know how to season them, and sausage links can range from awful to fantastic, but you need to know where to look.

Also for gods sake include coffee, though it’s not the healthiest choice, A strong cup alone can give you the energy boost to skip through a busy work day and last til lunch or later.

I can stick anything into an omelette and don’t have to deal with the low-quality or burnt breading of a breakfast sandwich or a breakfast burrito, French toast is simply better-tasting and less syrupy than pancakes and waffles, he has some good potato-based foods that the others neglected, donuts are always a win over generic things like cereal or bagels, and hash is perhaps worse than bacon and sausage but it isn’t weak enough to net Obama or Biden the win. Biden’s list is second-best. Pancakes and Sausages are strong enough to stand on their own, and Sunny Side Eggs are far less bland than scrambled eggs. Add in cereal and you have a far better option than bagels or breakfast sandwiches.

Very bland, basic breakfast items, nothing to write home about, just really kind of boring compared to the other options.
