dag, at least in the southern Arizona we have monsoon season (in the desert of course 😄). basically from June and fading off in September or October it's patchy absolute rain squalls. Like rain for an hour and dumpsters are float down the roads. Then it clear up and it's sunny. It will downpour in the other neighborhood and be clear at your house. Up in the mountains, they get snow squalls during winter, and there are fantastic irrigation networks for spring runoff. I'm from Michigan originally and clover/alfalfa is king for hay, it normally mixes with trefoil after a year though. The northern part of Michigan is terrible for most crops, barley does okay, but you chance a wet autumn and can't get the equipment into the fields. straw was always just wild grasses which grow five to six feet tall (2m). (I don't know how to change all that to English from American lol)
I lived in south California for a time. Most of the rain falls in January/February, and the vegetation looks luscious green at that time. But then quickly dries out. Late in the year the ground is very dry and liable to wild fires. Hillsides which suffer a wildfire are very dangerous during the following rain season, because there is a high risk of mudslides.
Hi daggerwin! this map looks to me to be Southwest US , New Mexico or Arizona especially. West Texas has the basic terrain and dryness, but not the mountains in the distance (they'd be Mesas most likely in Texas). My family farms and ranches in west Texas, and I can tell you that the rain comes infrequently, and often in very heavy thunderstorms. There is the occasional light shower too. Plantings are timed to the rains. Rainfall average is about 20 inches a year. Hay is very common in these regions, although with the dryness, it is very rarely turned (tedded), as there is no need, unless of course, it gets rained on after the cut.
Daggerwin on ballymoon castle buy a forage harvester and do more grass work than crops because it's the time of year in Ireland where all the silaging is done whereas their wouldn't be many combine harvesters being used and please buy a Mchale baler and a Massey ferguson 390
We really only do silage with corn and other crops here in the US. Mostly only as animal feed. But it's done very differently. Most of the time you see silage silos. We do use chopper/forage harvesters but rather than dump in a pit it goes in a silo, most of the time. Goes in loose though a blower tube to the top. You rely on the weight of the material to compress at the bottom and make silage. You just open the bottom and remove what you need. Just keep adding more to the top.
The straw unloading area for the pigs is on the opposite side of the pen from the water and feed. If you're outside of the pen, you will see the yellow and black markers.
Southeastern California, which is very similar ecology to the one depicted in the map, is desert. The agriculture here is supported by an intricate system of canals (mostly from the Colorado River) which provide water to an otherwise desolate area. Grass is nowhere to be found unless planted and irrigated. There are huge fields of sod in the area, but not much in the way of hay or straw production, as most of the agriculture in this area is for human food production (vegetables and greens, flowers, sod, etc.). In the great plains, in the middle of the U.S., is where most of the world's grain is produced (wheat, barley, corn, soybeans, and further South, cotton, etc.). Also you have a large amount of beef cattle production across the plains. Then in the Midwest and Northeast, you have agriculture designed to support dairy cows and pigs, with less large-scale human food production, and there is silage, feed corn and hay production aplenty. Of course in a desert, there is very little rainfall throughout the year, most of which comes during the monsoon season in late Summer to early Fall. This rain really does nothing for the crops though. The area has mainly been chosen for it's year-round temperate climate, suitable for year-round food production. Water is easy to move around, temperatures are not.
The Grass they used in the game they call Sage Grass. Not the best to use for feed. More uses as bedding. Areas like these get lots of rain in spring and less in summer with some storms moving through. most bailing is done in spring as much as they can do to help carry them though the season. buying as they need. keep up the good work. Love watching.Thanks.
In America, tractors don't usually have front attachers. The new holland mower that comes in the base game is common in America, and I know the John Deere moco mowers are a good mod
Hey Dagger in Texas we get locally heavy rainfall with possability of hail, tornadoes frequent lightning high winds, etc. avg. windy day is 20-30 mph with gusts up to 60mph. This year has been pretty crazy already with many tornadoes and hail. love your vids and will continue watching. Machinery Restorer and blogs included. keep up the great work.
Can't wait for Fs18... Cool that you're doing a lets play on it. Also, you could say that you are renting the grass areas to cut. But you only make minor profit since you have to pay them back.
With the Pottinger mowers you are able to attach the wide mower to the front and the middle mower to the front of that. Help a lot so that you can have a tetter behind you on the same pass.
the mowers work better if you put them both on the front of the tractor and the put either a tedder or a wind rower on the rear and do both jobs at one time
We're I live it has thunder storms that's were most of are rain comes from it rarely do we get light showers mostly rely on the snow up in the mountains and down
you probably should buy the field next to the pig an turn that into corn for the pigs an cows so you don't have to haul it so far to feed them. I'd at least like to see you plant seven an eight into corn once for the fun of it to see how much silage you could get from it
to be more realistic get a seed tender mod and buy the pickup or get a gravity wagon mod with an auger on the side if there is one...it would maake it a lot more american

I think fs17 is a big step up from fs15 a lot less glitching like if you agree

Daggerwin if you are going to bale your grass you should use a John Deere baler with the tractor.
Back when you need to change something up

Same over here in the UK i saw a farm near me doing that with a Claas forage harvester and John Deere tractors
Death555 yes everywhere u look there are class jaguars
Stephen_ 14 Ya
We just were doing that at my plcecein Canada Alberta

Sean Kirk that's right👍

southaussiegarbo 2054 nope there’s Cotten now and I do thinks there’s a rice farm now idk u tell me?

Daggerin put both mowers on the front and the windrower on the back
He did just say in the video at 13:00 that he does not like doing that..
It's time to mow the CRP for the summer! (Comment if you know what CRP is)
For mowing I use a valtra in reverse with the mowers on the rear 3-point linkage and a tedder or windrower on the front linkage.
In America, tractors don't usually have front attachers. The new holland mower that comes in the base game is common in America, and I know the John Deere moco mowers are a good mod
I'm obsessed with animals and forestry and my best friend is mowing mad

As far as rainfall goes we use irrigation a lot.. whether it be flood or sprinkler systems from reservoirs. Snowfall also helps a lot
You should call the field 87 or 78
That mower looks really good on that John Deere
you can drop the bales In the opposite the feed and it's realistic the pigs will then knock it around and bed them self's down
opposite side
You should get the new Holland since you don't see butterfly mowers that much in amarica
Mark Brown you on so of the big dairy farms
I don't see them a lot where I live, sorry about my spelling i forgot to press the caps lock button!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well done daggerwin an other great video well done 👌👌👌👍👍👍😀😀😀
I'm from Texas and we do silage bales all the time the dairy community is huge where I'm from also corn is popular
Daggwin I love your videos 🚜🚜
Can't wait for Fs18... Cool that you're doing a lets play on it. Also, you could say that you are renting the grass areas to cut. But you only make minor profit since you have to pay them back.
Daggerwin I love watching the farming simulator and wish you can do more of the farming simulator.
Dagger put the big mower on the front and attach the front mower to the big mower
Hey daggerwin can you get a chevy pickup truck for hauling the header trailer and water tanker, great video👍👍
Love the new tractor
we do a lot of silage in upper Midwest especially for larger farms
the straw drop off for the pigs is on the back side of the parlor, no chopping needed.
With the Pottinger mowers you are able to attach the wide mower to the front and the middle mower to the front of that. Help a lot so that you can have a tetter behind you on the same pass.
Or a windrower on the back
You could put all the mowers on the back and put a tedder on the front of the tractor, then use reverse drive control so that it saves you a run
more ets2 plz like if you agree
Daggerwin, you're killing me.
Australia =Outback!
U.S.A= Frontier
CHRIST.
Farming simulator blablabalbal! So funny😂
awsome
in America we us the front weight on tractors like that
Daggerwin likes mowers and i like turtles
I live in Oklahoma USA and when we get rain it's very sharp
just bought a compact tractor mower and I mowed my lawn just before I watched this video
U can put the mowers together and attach the Tedder to the back so your doing 2 JOBS IN 1
bad thunderstorms and about 15 to 20 inches of rain on good years on bad ones 10 inches or less. Also whatever you get in the terms of snow.
a John deere tractor in America usually doesn't have a front hitch, they mainly have weights on the front.
I wish the John deer was in ps4 fs17 it would really make my experience even better
You need to get mustang Valley Ranch it is a good map and has the biggest fields I recommend it to all
do lost island as your next map daggerwin it's a really good map and us a valtra
the john deere traktor is good 🚜
Place to put straw bales for pigs is on the opposite side of where you feed them.
wow this was updated like 4 minutes ago and already 60 likes
75 likes
Love your vids and nice intro yours truly Angus
if you connect the rear mower to the front and the front mower onto it you can put a widrower behind it
the hay spot for the pigs is on the oughter side of the pen from where you feed them
Good game!
When bailing hay, I got more money for selling fresh green bales rather than dry yellow bales
You need to plant corn after the next harvest of soybeans
In most dry areas like that there's hardly any rainfall so all the feilds are irritated by center pivots. All the feilds are big circles
On a new map you should make your own yard but with everything sheds storage and fill points
The fields you joined together, just call it field 78 :D
You it's very good videos Nice video thank you helped me
Hay bales are more popular in my area along with corn silage I live in central USA
hello daggerwin, if you haven't noticed there is actually a seed and fertilizer buy points at the yard where you store the big bud.
Nobody don't have to like it but I do
yes they do luts of hay with diary and beef cows in the us and canada
we get a fair amount in iowa but like California and Texas and some other states in the US don't get much rain
the mowers work better if you put them both on the front of the tractor and the put either a tedder or a wind rower on the rear and do both jobs at one time
In this area you get a hole bunch but they are spread out across the year alot
dagger do mustang valley next
Mike Shaw yes he should do that
Mike Shaw definitely
I live in Kentucky and it rains hard with thunder and lightning often hear
Use that large class tractor which has the swivelling cab for the mowers
Damn i miss that intro so much…
We're I live it has thunder storms that's were most of are rain comes from it rarely do we get light showers mostly rely on the snow up in the mountains and down

do more of the unrelalistic series
small bits of rain with like litterally 3 feet of rain
Do silage! Do silage! Do silage! Do silage
daggerwin you should check out the giants island 09 in the map section in the mods in the main menu
Don't buy a butterfly mower in the USA they use a pull behind mower or a heybine
I think a john Deere swather would be more realistic for mowing, not many mowers like that over here lol.
there is a lot of hay done in the US every summer
For ballymoon castle , silage 2017 is happening so claas jaguar/krone big x and those smiths trailers with two t7 s would be ideal
Daggerwin where I live in Sw Oklahoma it looks kinda like that and we get hard thunderstorms more than little showers
That's the same johndeere what we use doing mowing for silage
Finally a John Deere, more Hm John Deere please.
those people who said silage is not done much are extremely wrong it's done every harvest you have to take out half of the field dagger
Finally a John Deere!!
THANKS for giting a new tractor
lol I'm actually cutting grass today. Also new John Deere coming!
👌👌👍👍
Download the Annaburger water trailer off Modhub! Much more stylish and carrys more water! With the base game water trailer it takes ages...
use your singnal lights and hazards more daggerwin
john deere suits ireland well
to be more realistic get a seed tender mod and buy the pickup or get a gravity wagon mod with an auger on the side if there is one...it would maake it a lot more american
go and find some cool swathers/mowers
Great video dagerwin I would love to play with u on your.fs17 multiplayer but I only have fs15.
the straw for the pigs go the opposite side of the feed troff like the other side of the pen I hope that makes sense
Pigs straw trigger is on East side mid yard
nice video and very nice thumbnail
YES THX DAGGERWIN JOHN DEER WOOHOO and also mi new to the Channel i watch youre old videos and wandered if u can do silvage in mutiplayer thx
Mi meant silage
yeah i was so exited about fs18 since last 2 weeks
at the end of the soybean harvest could you do dilate in f7 don't forget about f1
