It's not Solji in Lady, the high notes were from Hyelin, Solji's voice is in DDD though :)
Hani never fails to make me feel VIOLENTLY GAY
"Lady" Is still one of my favorite MVs when it comes to Music Video production. You can tell the directors and editors did their research and literally took you back to the 90s. This wasn't just a 90s inspired song + MV concept, they filmed and edited it as if it was done back in like 1997. I think the only dead giveaway is the fact the video quality is in HD and it's widescreen.
And no, Solji didn't participate in "Lady", she did in "DDD". The one plus side about Solji's hiatus was that Hyelin really got to shine as a vocalist. She's also an amazing singer but I think gets overshadowed a bit in EXID by Solji. During Solji's absense, Hyelin showed she was able to handle Solji's parts very well.
In "DDD", Soji did take part in the recording of the album but didn't participate in the promotions or MV shoot. The 2nd part of the Chorus after Hyelin sings is Solji.
10:33 Yes Hani's natural voice is much lower than what she sings EXID songs with! She explained that they had her sing higher to match the range EXID songs tend to be written in. If you want to hear her actual singing voice, check her performance on King of Masked Singer. It will shock you.

I never clicked so fast on one of these lol, thank you for reacting to EXID again. I miss them so much! About Lady, that’s the bias Hyelin doing the high notes/runs. Solji was EXID’s vocal trainer before joining the group, so her and Hyelin tend to sound very similar when singing in that range. She also covered for Solji during her hiatus when they performed other EXID songs and did an amazing job. Solji did participate in recording DDD though, so you are hearing all five members there. Love your reactions! ❤️
Every time I hear I Love You I think about the time they were on Knowing Bros and Solji complained about LE writing a really high part for her. Then they got her to sing it live and she slayed it.

I love Hani so much, she's amazing. Everybody in EXID is great.
EXID were 1 of 2 groups (AOA being the other) that first got me into Kpop and LE played a huge part in that.
The DDD is app meant to represent the shivering sound you make when you're cold.

We looooooove Hani low voice. She sings so well in this lower register as well so it is a bit a shame she could not show this color much. But these songs are really good! And in "Ladies" they completely nailed this concept and personally, I don't think anyone else managed to (yes sorry not even (G)Idle which I also like a lot).
You should also check "Ah Yeah" (with lots of meaningful lyrics and criticism on society) as well as "Me and You" which often brings me tears (because it was kind of their last song). 😥

i've been loving your exid reactions! thank you from a leggo ^-^ you talked about diving into their albums and i think it would be perfect if you listen to their mini albums 'eclipse' (without solji) and 'full moon' (return of solji's voice) in order in one video. those albums not only contain great b sides but also showcase the members' individual style through their solo songs. i think you'd love it based on your reactions so far! i've been seeing more interest in hani & exid lately ever since she participated in running girls. it makes me so happy, cant wait for more exid content!

YASS part 2 is here!! Hope you'll do a part 3 and 4 and 5 and etc lol. I recc my fave song by EXID (and one of my faves of ALL kpop song) Night Rather Than Day. EVERYTHING about that song is PERFECT, the only bad part is that Solji isn't there (it was their first cb without her, when all of us thought it was going to be just a few months, one cb without ot5). And hope you watch some guides and funny moments because they're hilarious!! Y recommend you to watch the dingo video when they're singing while being drunk but still sounding AMAZING lmao.
