- Its full lockdown in the UK and I try my best to explain how to do a stoppie, nose wheelie or whatever you call it when your'e not good enough for nose manuals and just pull the front break really hard... I guess it's how to #stoppiesunday in a way with Bernard Kerr?! haha .... enjoy and stunt it and learn this when you can! #lockdown #lock down

Were you in Rotorua around crankworx time. I was riding around with my kids when a guy who looked like you and rode a pivot did a jump to stoppie. It was sick!

This "How to stoppie" is more like an "How to jump high with your hardtail and don't destroy your back wheel" :))
i have shimano deore hydraulic brakes would they be ok
My usual bike is in the shop and I have a hardtail with like base-level Tektro 2 pots with tiny rotors and it stoppies perfectly fine. I have the MT520s on my main bike which are also Deore brakes (4 pot) and they also work great.

hmm...Bernard is either way taller than i thought or that's not a 29er.
He's about 5,11 but the pivot switchblade has a lower top tube so the bike will appear smaller compared to him
@@tomgarside5426 5'11 is a lot taller than i thought. I thought he was around blake samson height, 5'8 or so. lmao.

That's a CSU (crown steerer unit) issue. I haven't had a problem with my 34s but time will tell...

before doing this. Go to the gym and hit the bench press until you are confident you have the arm strength to keep the bars from turning while doing a stoppie. Because if they do (turn), you'll be eating steak in a blender when your teeth get busted out.
you don't actually need a reeeeeaaally good brake you just need the technique and decent brakes
what's the different between a 'good brake' and 'decent brake' ? why do we need the one but not the other one ?
