  • What is the Secret Book of the Three Sovereigns 三皇內文遺秘? Is it a recovered fragment from the lost legendary grimoire, the Book of the Three Sovereigns 三皇文?
The Sān Huáng Wén 三皇文 (Book of the Three Sovereigns) refers to a collection of texts currently in the Taoist Canons. Whether they are fragments of the legendary grimoire by that same name, we can’t be sure.
The version of the texts in the canonized Book of the Three Sovereigns date back to the Tang (618 - 907 AD) and Song (960 - 1279 AD) dynasties, with passages integrated from Three Sovereigns texts dating to the Three Kingdoms Era (220 - 280 AD), Jin (266 - 420 AD), and Wei (386 - 534 AD).
The latter half of this video will be a walk-through of the Secret Book’s tutorial on the Seal of the Nine Immortal Realms 九老仙部印圖, a Fu talisman and spirit map for channeling Taiyi 太一, the Supreme Primordial God of Heaven, and unlocking untold powers from within.

25:30 No, it stated exactly (24:30) what these three dishes should be: 煎饼、柏汤、盐豉。煎 meant fry in shallow oil, 饼 at the time meant many forms of food stuff made mainly by wheat flour (for example what we call noodles were called 汤饼). I would guess a shallow fried flatbread is close to what it meant. 柏 is cypress, 汤 at the time meant hot water (as in Japanese now), but 柏汤 is more a kind of tea. To make 柏汤 you need to collect tender cypress leaves and air dry them in a specific way (you can find instructions online), then brew with hot water. 盐豉 is salted soy sauce/soybean paste/fermented soybeans.

Good catch! Thank you for your perspective! This is super helpful! 💖🙏
And for others reading this, here are further details on the imacg5's take on what the text calls for: three offerings in total
(cf. reading it as jian bing + three offerings)
      1. 煎餅, jiān bing: Wheat flour based flat bread that can be sweet or savory, fried in fats
      2. 柏湯, bǎi tāng: A traditional medicinal healing soup. Sun-dried cypress leaves, dried ginger, and mugwort leaves are steeped to brew a tea/soup
      3. 鹽豉, yán shì: Fermented soybean tempeh, similar to a tofu, that is pan-fried
I've also updated the downloadable full transcript and blog notes. Thanks!

@@BenebellWenThank It would never have occurred to me that you could use fresh tempeh there, as I don't associate it with China.
p.s. You have a beautiful Ju Ju berry tree, There are much better ways to simulate lightning, Such as an arc welder or even just zap it with static electricity, A cheap portable bug zapper would also be excellent for this purpose.

This is the first authentic Taoist channel I have encountered, actual alchemy and shengong. Rather than people just reading the Tao te Ching as if that text can be comprehended by a dualistic mind.
Truely amazing to see actual Taoist magic.
I am a Buddhist sorcerer so it’s cool to see the parallels.

I am made in Gods image. All I need is my words and deeds at any time to invoke the powers of God and heaven. I’d imagine lesser beings in the spirit realms need certain days, months, years, rituals etc to break from their…position and they’ve tricked humans via this “knowledge” into thinking we need it as well for their sakes, but we dont. Think about it. How easily people are deceived with complicated philosophy, earthly knowledge that’s all in vain, meaningless, endless toil chasing the wind. “Father in heaven. Holy is your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth and heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, an forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Yours is the kingdom power and glory forever and ever amen.” So simple and yet sums everything. But humans in their pride want more. More is never enough, yet we still seek for whatever will give us more, again all in vain. The truth is simple and easy friend. We are the workmanship of the hands of God lol. Called to be friends, children, and heirs to the kingdom of heaven. All you have to do is ask at any time, for anything with faith no bigger than a mustard seed. Fools will be the ones who freely walk through the gates of heaven with a multitude of angels at their sides. Know your place, where you are, know who you are and all will be given to you because that’s the reason you’re here. There’s no mystery to it. A father prepares for his children their inheritance and wants them to have it lol.

The Bible is 73 books written over a period of 1000+ years. So saying it's all allegorical is extremely simplistic. There are different genres including : poetry, history, theological exposé, etc.
If you're interested in the unique nature of Christian meditation I suggest the "Aspects of Christian Meditation" I think it's called, by Pope Benedict then Cardinal Ratzinger. There's an audio version on TH-cam on the channel Catholic Culture.

Yes. This book was really important as it was given by the immortal ones who was once humans. Once you have this book and seals along with you and when you sleep, you will bring it to the 9 realms and gain access to such wealth of karma. It was told that if you posses the seal during those time your soul will have free access to these worlds. Once you have the first seal, and it was embedded to your soul, you will be know as one of the immortals it is like a ticket for only one person or one bloodline. You be needing the second seal to pass through death and the abyss in order for you to open the 9 realms. Or now it was 10 realms plus 2 extra realms. As a researcher, there are many books like these in the House of Wisdom, which was burnt by the Mongolian armies. The person who have these seals are very lucky for their human souls have given a gift for the after human life.

@Aaron-zu3xn Falun Gong are completely fraudulent, co-opted by the American CIA. Interact with a member and you'll be weirded out but in a bad way. I get the impression you consume the Peter Zeihans, the Laowhy86, Serpentza, of the world. Religion is doing rather well in China. Also most Chinese support their government. You'll hate to hear these words but it's true. For obvious reasons too.
The cultural revolution was a disaster but make no mistake the Chinese majority view communism and their government favorably. You do not have to draw heart eyes on their "dear leader" to survive.

I love your book, I Ching, The Oracle. It is a huge and wonderful resource. Thank you for writing it! I am slowly working my way through it, but it has already cleared up some of the flaws in my understanding. On another subject, I read enough by and about Aleister Crowley to know to avoid anything interpreted by him, written by him or touched by him. Simply put, he was a sociopath and narcissist. I often read multiple translations since I only read English with any understanding. Often translators have a noticeable bias when you compare translations. Crowley's interpretation of Chuang Tsze seems to be spot on while being the most misleading version I have read.

Mountain top is Yang (High above) beach would be yin (below by the water). This is why Njörðr in Norse mythology is considered feminine. He is Freyr/Freya’s father in late era Scandinavia. Tacitus in Germania, however, described a Nerthus, who is a feminine version of the later masculine name. She was “invoked” into a covered wagon at a sacred lake by a priest with young female (presumably virgins) attendants. They would go village to village in Spring to inspire fertility upon the earth. All metal tools, especially blades and weapons, were to be locked away at this time because they were offensive to the goddess.
One can see this relationship in the earliest sacrifices to Zeus, “God of the Polis,” where the men who sacrificed the bull were, in a mock trial, acquitted of murder while the sword was convicted. It was bent and “tortured” before being cast into murky water like murderers, considered “filthy” sacrifices. This also recalls Varuna, considered ancient in the Vedas, and he received “filthy offerings” like murderers.
This Bull sacrifice tradition, I believe, was part of the sacred cattle standard of Bronze Age economies. Indo-European cattle theft myths were a part of this sacred “conflict” where the Bull was “stolen” by neighbors and, therefore, they had to pay the murder price worthy of the animal.
Socially, it supported communal economies while teaching children the consequences of apparent “sins” (theft and murder) through the passion of the dramatic actions. It also allowed the people who raised the animal to not have to kill the animal they raised, often having attachments like we do with pets today.
The Norse world tree with the 9 realms has cosmological relations to the 9 immortal realms, but I don’t know the details of it in order to point out how.

Mountains and caves are always sacred because they create a numinous feeling in humans. Almost everyone who believes in gods connects at least some of them with mountains. Babylonians called their temples mountains and pyramids across the world are probably mountain-inspired.
Mountains just make some strong feelings occur in humans and if you believe in the divine, it's gonna feel divine.

The YT channel Shiftwave has a vid called Fudu Myoo tuned @ 432 Hz that works wonders. Fudu Myoo is a Buddhist Wisdom King whose specialty is murder, death, kill. Hayagriva is a Wisdom King as well whose specialty is exorcism and the general dispelling of evil spirits from your aura. They are both considered Ferocious (beyond Wrathful) Protector Deities whose basis is Compassion.

I recently found your channel and have been loving your videos! I have always had an interest in Western ceremonial magick, as well as Eastern philosophy, but had a bit of 'never the twain shall meet' perspective, so your content instantly and deeply resonated with me. You have attracted a very knowledgeable audience too, which is refreshing in the barren intellectual wastelands we so often find ouselves in modernity. I want to pick up your book soon!

It is so sad that so many texts worldwide have been lost. I certainly hope that those book-burners have fully encountered the Karmic retribution. There are good and bad texts, but nobody has the right to destroy them. If they are unworthy, TIME can be the natural destroyer.......not humans. This is such a good lecture. Thank you.

    Hey Benebell!
Thank you so much for making these videos! These esoteric topics are very niche and it’s even harder to find videos, such as yours, which include the original Chinese text, names, and titles! I’m currently learning Classical Literary Chinese and it’s nice to try and read something other than the somewhat stiff-necked Confucian Classics. AGAIN, THANKS SO MUCH for making this knowledge more approachable while still including the original text for reference!!!
Also, it’s really cool that you included the Seal script for the text as well !

Thank you! Thia was a good video! I loved your cute jokes. You always get me excited to start learning about Toaism. It tickles my magical and logical curiosity. It's interesting. I never thought about the lunar calendar as teaching patients, but given the suggestions of hard and fast rules about waiting to create the seal, it does. I've always argued we should do fewer spells or magic, in this case sigils or seals. How much does it matter to you? How much do you want it? It is interesting the number nine is significant in so many cultures. ❤❤❤
