I love the way King David is so honest, even at times when he felt hard done by, unfairly treated, never remained down for long. Psalms like these that talk about David’s enemies and people who seek his destruction are hard for me to relate to. Perhaps I’m ignorant of people who ‘hate’ me or see me as an enemy. Am I missing something or are these more just historical Psalms about David’s tribulations?
