The church/ Christians going into these virtual spaces personally reminds me of what God had commanded the israelite captives to do while they were in captivity in Babylon, Jerimiah 29:5 "build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce", Going into the virtual world (in my eyes) in this way seems not like a allegiance to this worlds Babylonian system and techno addicted culture, but a means of carrying light and hopefully the true Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to these slaves to the culture in hopes that they get delivered and enter into a fulfilling relationship with the Lord (that's me tho) but I still believe no virtual gathering is adequate or nearly as effective as the gathering of the saints in person
This feels like a double edged sword.... We need the LORD's wisdom
After 4 years I still don’t like going to church, but I still do it because I know I need it, and the Lord wants me to grow and grow with others. This technology allows people to stay in their boxes, to simply fill a seat, and not grow.

NO WAY!!! Jesus said to congregate not put on VR goggles and go to church.
Yes way, talked to a man from China the other day at a VR worship service, he doesn't have easy access to fellowship and a church environment as a christian there. Fellowshipping with people and being able to hear their voice and have a conversation is tremendously helping him in his faith journey. Fellowship is one of the most important and key things that keeps people going and motivated in their faith. Here in America, we are one of the most privileged, religiously free countries in the world, not so much in China and plenty of other countries.
Jesus warned of these days! Church is not a game. Why not congregate? Are you fearful of covid? Jesus has not given us a spirit of fear, but of Power, Love, and A Sound Mind.
The LORD said No, No, No in my spirit when I saw this. I immediately rebuked this in the name of Jesus!!

i felt the exact same way. I made a video about my experience with virtual reality church this past weekend. It is pure heresy.

Talked to a man from China (virtually), and he doesn't have easy access to fellowship and a church environment as a Christian. Do you suppose he watch a livestream by himself? Fellowshipping with people and having conversations is tremendously helping him in his faith journey. America is one of the most privileged, religiously free countries in the world, China is not.

churches never should have shut down it showed how little a faith the church is truly have you are to obey God not government a church is supposed to be a sanctuary for all you just didn't want to lose your 501c3 tax exempt status
My church has never used the tax exempt thing. We pay all taxes…the Lord said render to caesar the things that are his and unto God the things that are His.

And not to say virtual is bad, it isn’t, it’s just probably going to make people more laid back about going to church ҽѵҽղ when they have the ability to go unlike some older people I know of that can’t go, and they wish to!
