    Scenes like these remind me of my childhood growing up in the barrio next to a river, farmlands, mountains and forest raISING chickens, pigs, a carabao, dogs and cats, climbing trees, swimming in the river, catching fishes and snails, watching sunrise and sunsets. Priceless! Thanks Asher for your beautiful vlog and pictures. I really admire your work.

    My grandparents used to own a land in that precious place. We planted lots of crops, veggies and enjoyed our vacation in beautiful hills alongside rivers. We rode on "cariton" pulled by a carabao or buffalo to town. Its a beautiful memories indeed no electricity but full of fun and serenity. I am planning to buy our land back for rennovation and building my own rest house there. Hopefully soon someone would feature it so I can show how beautiful it is to live and grow on our gem land. More power to you my friend I hope you come back

    New Pinay Subscriber here from California, I love this episode. Your photograph are all lovely. Will check Etsy. Really enjoy and appreciate your time showing globally the Philippine Country side. Reminded me when we were kids living with Grandma in the province as my parents had to stay in the city to work. Those days were very memorable. Slow paced, woke up in the morning with boiled sweet potato for breakfast and burnt rice for coffee; and smell the morning dew and smoke from the burning leaves that my Grandma piled up after cleaning the yard. I did learn to eat Beatle like Bugs for snack--crunchy like chips and tasted like peanut butter. My uncle will bring them home from the rice fields and my Grandma will roast them. I was about 3 or 4 at that time back in the mid 50's--now in my 70 with grandkids of my own kids. Agree with you--Manila is not for me although I attended college back in the '70's. It has changed so much and so much crowded. Congratulations as you are still newly wed. We're the opposite--you went to the Philippines to marry a Filipina while I left the Philippines in the 80's to marry an American. Been home a couple of times for visit--really overwhelmed the degree of improvement and progress of the Philippines for the last 10-15 years. I was a native born but I was never able to see the entire country like I did now because of the internet and Vloggers from all over the world who are featuring in their channels the beauty and charm and maybe "dark side" of the Philippines. As the Philippines has becoming a service oriented economy and/or progressing to an industrialized nation, I hope the agricultural and farmland industries be preserved. We can have both. Enjoy your stay in the Philippines and wish you and Aileen the best. Will wait for your next episode. Best Wishes--GUAPO/POGI, Asher Kid!!! Ask Aillen what it means. 🥰🥰🥰

It also makes me miss the Philippines so much right now as I’m in Colorado at the moment. There’s really nothing like it that I’ve ever experienced here in the US. It seems like such a memorable and fun place to grow up. I pray that the Philippines can continue to be in my and Allaine’s future! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful story! Your comment makes my day better 😊🙏

    Is this a flood-prone area? It has so much potential with that kind of scenery.

    • @mrccurri13
      @mrccurri13  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure but I would think not because I haven't heard anything about it and it's pretty shielded from the ocean by the mountains. Although there is a big river system that flows through Gabaldon so that could flood, I really don't know! And you're right it has lots of potential! Wish I could visit more often than I do right now! Thanks for the comment!
