    Which is the best time to visit Manali?
    Manali is an all season destination where the temperatures are between 15-20ºC but winters are quite chilly here with temperatures dropping to -2ºC.

    Best places to visit in Manali:
    There are many places to visit in Manali but here are our Top recommendations:
    1. Hidimba temple:
    There is a lush green forest next to Hidimba temple.(Dhungri Van vihar) The garden surrounding the temple has huge cedar trees and water pond. You can enjoy this place savouring nature and can click amazing pictures in different background. No fancy humdrum; this place deserves a visit! You will also find many a lady carrying huge white rabbits and they charge a very minimal amount for a photo.
    Entry fee is: Rs. 10/- each
    2. Solang valley:
    The Solang Valley is right in the middle of the Beas Kund and Solang Village. Take the ropeway and head to the top of the snow clad mountain. It offers some of the most beautiful views of the mountains, glaciers, and forests. Also, it is less crowded.
    Ropeway ticket: Rs. 700/- each
    3. Rocky’s cafe:
    A good 30 minutes hike all the way up from from the Old Manali bridge. This offers a Breathtaking views from the outdoor seating area. You could watch the Joggini falls at a distance while enjoying a hot cup of tea. The food was ok, but if you want a good view and cozy vibe then go for it.
    4. Manu temple view point:
    Often many tourist return from Manu temple, but if you want to enjoy and this offbeat place then don’t just stop after manu temple. Keep walking for about 10 more mins and you will reach this amazing view point.
    5. Jogini Falls:
    This beautiful waterfall is located around 7.5 kms from Manali bus stand and around 4 kms from Vashisht Temple. One can trek from Vashisht temple till the waterfall which will take around 1.5 hours one way. The entire trek is quite scenic giving you the best views of Manali town.
    There are no entry charges to this waterfall.
    6. Vashisht Temple/ Hot water Springs:
    Located around 5 kms from Old Manali, this 4000 year old ancient temple. This temple is known for its hot water springs which is considered sacred and believed to have skin healing properties. There are separate Turkish styled bathing enclosures for men and women. You will have to deposit your sandals/shoes at the entrance of the temple which will cost you around Rs. 5 per sandal/shoes.
    7. Beas River View Point:
    Do not miss to visit the Beas river view point area which is located around 3 kms from Old Manali and capture some memorable pictures of this river originating from Himalayas.
    No entry charges for this viewpoint.

    8. Atal tunnel: Atal Tunnel has officially been certified by World Book of Records, as the ‘World’s Longest Highway Tunnel above 10,000 Feet’. The 9.02 km long, strategically significant, Atal Tunnel, that runs under the ‘Rohtang Pass’ was constructed on the Manali - Leh Highway. Tourists can visit Atal Tunnel and Lahaul valley up to Darcha. But, they will have to travel in 4x4 vehicles between 9am and 3pm.
    9.Rohtang Pass:
    Located around 42 kms from Solang Valley is the famous Rohtang Pass at an altitude of 3979m (13,050 ft) above sea level. This is usually the first pass when you go on a roadtrip from Manali to Ladakh. This pass is closed during winters from December to April.
    10. Naggar Castle :
    Located around 24 kms from Old Manali, offers spectacular views of the Kullu Valley. It houses an art gallery which comprises of several paintings made by Russian artist Nicholas Roerich.
