Some of the fallout from nuclear weapons use in Ukraine would blow over into China and other neighboring countries, causing long term problems over a vast area. That is the reason China does not want Russia to use them.

That was assuming that Ukraine would receive appropriate air assets and HUNDREDS of unmodified Abrams tanks, etc. Instead Ukraine was only given 31 stripped - down Abrams, and far too late, and (to date) not a single A10 Warthog or F16 fighter jet.

Thank you General. I believe it's important that Ukraine is allowed to defend itself. This has to include the ability to prevent strikes on its soil by attacking Russian storage and launch facilities. If Ukraine has the supplies and freedom to use them as a strategic response to Russian actions it has the ability to hurt Russia more.
The battlefield is a constantly moving beast and Commanders in the field must have the ability to make decisions based on the situation at hand.

Ukraine has already lost this war and the reason for this is because NATO does not have the capacity to make it win, it does not have the industrial capacity, with its military industry being outdated and without great production capacity, and it does not have the political capacity, with Western politicians not being willing to lose their elections to make Ukraine win.
It seems Russia has been winning the war for well over two years and will continue winning until the day they realise they have failed.

Suggestion for TV Rain- In future interviews, please ask General Hodges if he advocates that his country agree to Ukraine's request to provide Jassm (agm-158) cruise missiles which are munitions that the F-16s can launch. Does he advocate giving them the Jassm-ER version which have a 900km range allowing Ukraine to strike Engels from Ukraine's airspace? Does he advocate full war on Russian production, meaning that "non military" targets such as armaments factories and petroleum sites producing fuel and cash for the war?

With all due respect for Gen. Hodges, it's not a mistake for the US to restrict use of it's weapons in Ukraine. Strategy in the Ukraine conflict must be dictated by NATO and EU nations, not the US. If this becomes a full war, it must be their war, not ours, just like it was in WWI and WWII. The US followed after the UK approved for Ukraine to use UK weapons to strike inside Russia. France and Germany followed after the US. Also, we should not give maniac Putin any reason to use nuclear weapons.
