Tom Ford Fall / Winter 2019

NEW YORK - Credit to Tom Ford, then, for implementing a luxury quarantine Wednesday night for his Fall / Winter 2019 runway show, which Anok Yai opened and closed. There is turmoil in the world to be sure, none of which even came close to penetrating the formidable walls of the Park Avenue Armory. The world would have to wait, there was a Tom Ford collection to be deployed, there was a Fashion Month to get well and truly underway. In the end, the collection was, to borrow a phrase from the house, “casual and sophisticated,” all the way down to the faux-fur fedoras. Joining Anok on the runway from around the Next global network were eight more models including Hiandra Martinez, Cara Taylor, Gena Malinin, Selena Forrest, Maria Miguel, Lineisy Montero, Erik Van Gils, and Binx Walton.
