I'll die a happy man if one day I can surf close to Toots' style. It's perfection 🙌

Blows every longboarder out of the water with his natural smooth fluid style. Nice to see true soul surfing. EVERYONE else is jerky with flailing arms! ALL you guys that belong to companies with money coming out of your ears, GIVE THIS GUY A SHOT. GUARANTEE WORLD CHAMPION!!! Best longboarder to show how it is done!! Right???

Was so happy to have met Toots in the lineup and speak to him back in October last year. Really cool, down to earth guy who is a true soul surfer! Great video!

Prolly the most I’ve ever seen this guy talk wtf? Haven’t seen him in the lineup for a long time tho! Where you at Toots? I’m a big fan of your short board with the flat nose! Can I get my hands on one of those?

I'm old school and sat at Queens with Rabbit and Jamma while working for Leroy and Bobby Ah Choy. Back then there was something called "Aloha" and Respect which is greatly lacking now days at Queens. Sitting at Queens with Rabbit I can remember countless times when guys would paddle out and proceed to catch every wave that came in, like the break belonged to them somehow. That didn't last very long when Rabbit and especially Jamma were in the water.
Toots says it perfectly, "its a selfish endeavour" which explains a lot about him.

Absolutely, I'm a local "Townie" kid grew up in 60s & 70's every part of Town especially Waikiki, my cousins and I learned to surf, paipo, sand slide & body surf right out at publics. I still do it all except sand slyeding. Lol, once and awhile I go to Waikiki I've not run into this man Toots & I do not remember him out in these waters. I've heard he is rude, with superior attitude, no Aloha. Too bad, I know this, if I do run into him and he is a punk. U know what that means! ! Aunty no scared, I'll give him a lesson in etiquette. The way it was done in the rugged 70's to every local kid that acted up & tourist. Ass gets runned over lol yeah for real & a lot of Ffffffff FFFF language, don't care who the F you are, u wanna act like you a true islander Hawaiian, kamaaina, then act like it. Respect!!!!!!!

Only surfed there once at Diamond Head in 2ft slop all alone, may 1985. Some fat polynesians guy finally came by and threatened me. Said it was local territory.
Not hi or how's the weather. So much for Aloha.
So you don't know Toots. Who made you in new Duke.
