      Glad I could help. If it helps I would let my son, who is 12, ride here. All the green and blue rated trails can be ridden without hitting all the features. 🤙🏼

    First time watching your channel, I'm 43 so it's right up my alley. After a trip to Colorado to hang with friends and hit trails the truth hit. I was never going to fully enjoy this sport on an acoustic bike. Even in my prime I wasn't sure the suffering was worth it. The climbing sucked and the lack of oxygen compounded it. The best rides had the steepest climbs, and I couldn't enjoy the downhill because I was already too gassed from just getting up there. Being in Georgia, Jarrods Place and Kanuga (no shuttle) are the best places I can drive to for a weekend of fun, and they both rent and highly recommend e-bikes. It didn't take much to convince me. After one rental I was hooked. Still got in an ass-load of exercise, rode all day instead of just a couple of hours, and the confidence you get from these things is incredible since they are so stable and always come with great components. I picked up a new Turbo Levo on fire sale and now it's pretty much the only thing I ride. I know people expounding about the e-bike life is starting to sound like something between people who talk about gluten and a religious cult, but for good reason, these things thread the needle when you just want to have fun. Thanks for the cool vid!

    Jarrod’s is a blast, but man is Lady Bug a tricky one! Pretty technical and steep, especially the downhill sweeping turns in the middle section. Upper air supply, double wide, and senior discount are always a guaranteed good time regardless of skill level.

    I'm 36 and just started mountain biking last week, I couldn't help but keep shouting "just hit it dude" every time you rode around a feature or rode the brakes. The park looks like a ton of fun though, and I am very addicted to the adrenalin and feeling of hitting berms and jumps and I am very impressed with my local bike park and the use of the ski lifts to shuttle bikers and their gear to the top.

      Haha, I’m the same way when I watch back at my stuff, “what the.. you could have hit that!” But the GoPro effect is real. It’s much bigger than it looks. However, I’m looking forward to going back. My jumping has improved in the several weeks since being there. 🤙🏼

      I film in 2.7k with the GoPro lens mod. I do export in 4K though with very little resolution loss. I do add a little sharpening because I have the GoPro set at medium sharpening in camera.
      Hope that helps!

    Looks like a great place (minus all of the climbs). Is this a free bike park? I visited the website and see a lot of talk about memberships. I have family about 30 minutes from there, and visit frequently...but was looking for a free trail. Thanks.

    • @midlifeshredder
      @midlifeshredder  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Bill. It’s not free. It’s $50 for a day pass that includes the shuttle. If you had an ebike you could save $20 and just self shuttle. The only climbing you have to do is if you wanted to hit some of the black tech trails at the top.

  • @destinhook3826

  • @topspot4834
    @topspot4834 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks like a fun park, but not worth the trip if they don't shuttle all the way up. If I'm paying $50 for a shuttle, I don't expect to be climbing.

    • @midlifeshredder
      @midlifeshredder  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree but there is still quite a bit to do at the drop off and they’re adding more trails than can be accessed there and at the top. It agree. A full shuttle would be 🤙🏼 even if, like Windrock, they only do it on certain days.

    I went to Jarrod's over the weekend too. I loved the trails I got to ride. The staff were awesome. I dont get the paying for a shuttle then having to ride 3/4 of a mile to the shuttle station though. That kind of put me off. The shuttle trail was closed too because of "rain". Would I ride there again? Maybe but the price would have to come down if my fat butt is pedaling that far to the shuttle. 100% those trails are steeper than they look on camera. I think you nailed it with the trail ratings too for the south in most cases. Not to mention some of the other riders were complete douchebags. Never had that issue before.

    • @midlifeshredder
      @midlifeshredder  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @midlifeshredder
