We finally begin the next part of phase 2 for our 2020 Jeep Gladiator Giveaway build! Before we start equipping the bed rack with overland goodies, we have to install my favorite modification - a Bestop Sunrider! And of course some power side steps and rock sliders for Kevin!

I was “taken aback;” when you stopped and chucked the hard top panels off of that beautiful gladiator!
Good show guys, enjoyed the humor. Especially the skipping the safety glasses part.
Just like a true foster child. After abuse much love! All the love covers any damage a foster child endures. We really do need a love button because I was shocked and could not stop laughing
Speaking of extra packaging I bought a license plate holder from Teraflex and it came in a 2 foot by 2 foot box with about eight foot of plastic bubble wrap...rotflmao

Legend has it that the guy stopped and try to toss his own panels but realized it was not a Jeep. So, drove over the tops they tossed.

I figured that the Best Top would be in the build... It keeps getting better and better with every video... The power side steps are nice, even though I'm 6'4" and don't think I would need them but they are nice to have for the less fortunate, LOL!! Keep it up!!!
The plastic bag thing... I can relate... In aviation... some hardware...are individually wrapped in an sealed package, in a plastic bag, in a small box, in a larger plastic bag , in a bigger box, wrapped in a plastic bag....😂

Love the Best top Sun rider. And the side steps are perfect. Here in Minnesota in the winter they gather snow and slush. Those would work perfectly. Thanks for showing everything. Great addition.
The steps are great. The first thing I thought was "What if I remove the doors?" and then you answered it right on queue. There is a switch to disable it. Great feature.
Can't hide money to just chunk some perfectly good freedom panels like that! Just sayin.
We know where there are stacks of them if you really need some. We also have the factory ones from the stepchild that have been in storage for 2 years.
I need some for a jku, mine has those Jeetops and they suck! They're all cracked and leak like a colander!
So glad u can turn off the step so when the doors r off u don’t have to worry about the step. Love it!

Wow how many times I wanted to toss the freedom tops off Maggie May but thanks to all the great Lite Brite discounts from Bestop we great tops on both Maggie May and TJMAX but unlike the Foster Child no freedom panels where harmed in our install.... LOL

Oh I love those adjustable steps. I had an accident on my motorcycle .one word deer . To get up in there I would have to have those. Turning out to be a beautiful jeep!

I cried a little when those panels hit the floor - surely there's people out there that have rubbed them on a rock or tree that could use 'em? Love the step sliders though. I have Bestop Powersteps on my TJ and they've been great for years but no longer made. Will be putting the Rock Slide Engineering powersteps on my second TJ for sure.

I am super impressed with those side steps. They look great and they are functional. I would definitely keep a small dust broom for cleaning the step after mudding so the recess doesn't get clogged. Looks like Kevin has already shed the pork and hula chicken. Keep it up. Mahalo 🤙👍

Bestop is the best company. Their customer service is the best I’ve ever dealt with. I never thought I’d want steps but after seeing those I’ve changed my mind. I’m excited to see what BJ design lights you got!!!
Love you guys, but you made me cringe when you trashed the freedom top panels. I’ve had to replace them due to trail damage and they’re not cheap. Still love ya though 😎
Dude, As much as I love everything you guys do... it hurts to see anything go to waste that’s so pricey to replace.

I’m not sure why everyone assumes that not only were they thrown away or “wasted” but that Kevin or I (the people who pick up other people’s trash on the trails) would have just left them lying on the road?
The freedom panels were given to someone for FREE who planned to paint them anyways, which meant scratches from being tossed were irrelevant.
You'd have to be a dummy to think they waste all these parts they remove. They literally give away all parts to people.
At first I was wondering how you could take the doors off and not have the steps open but they put that switch on. Good stuff

I did guess it was getting a Best Top.I mean it's you guys, but a turret would had been cool too. Anyhow, those tools were certainly over wrapped. Do you think Best Top knew you were getting it and played a joke on you?
It is not necessarily a child running under the jeep slider steps, as much as a dog might in your world. Awesome that they are engineered to be safe and also don't self destruct on rocks. Good stuff again. Great 2.5.1 day of the build. You makes these build so fun. Almost wish you could just build and build it.

...well.. so much for the "Not Windy" part. Sat afternoon the winds expected Sunday came in early. The raffle was a "blow-out" quite literally! But those who stayed had a good time and the clubs and venders made it all well worth while! Thank You to all who put in so much hard work!

You should tell the manufacture of the rock slide to increase the length of the step. Looks like getting in from the back is very limited on the step space.

The freedom panels were given away to a friend (who planned on painting them, so the scratches were irrelevant) 😊
Steve Jurcevic the axles are the max tow pkg axles so they are the wider and stronger axles with 4.10s so these will be given away probably to an E3offroad member since they are badass axles.
@@LiteBrite That's exactly what I was expecting to hear you would be doing since you've done that in the past with a lot of the parts that you've pulled of the Stepchild. Glad to hear you're continuing the tradition.....even if it means that I'm not invited to the stock parts crushing party ;-)

You will want to disable them when you take off the doors as well.

Those are some kind words you had for Bestop but y'all being on Team Bestop get the VIP treatment & don't have to deal with them like "regular" consumers. Their CS is one of the worst. The Core Door debacle, where they just straight up lied to everyone on the pre-order list for a good 6 weeks about the shipping eta, just stalling for time. They gave 200 people a dozen different excuses, as if there wasn't an internet where folks didn't have an outlet to exchange stories about what they've been told. Even Northridge got fed up with their ish & since y'all have a relationship with them, y'all can ask David or Chris about it.
Lucky for Bestop, they do make the best tops & if there were options from other manufacturers that were comparable then I'd go that route solely because of their sketchy CS. Say hi to Cassie.

Y'all must know a different Bestop than the one I've had to deal with. Their Customer Service dropped the ball on my last 2 orders. Told me they'd send me a swag package to make it right. A month later...did y'all get a chance to ship that package yet? Yep, via Fed-Ex weeks ago. Cool... might y'all have a tracking number for that package? Sorry, System is down. No worries, we'll send another. Another month passes... Same question. FedEx, had the intern ship it. Tracking? System Down...umm, the other rep I just spoke to gave me tracking info on my Element mirrors. Package expedited on 3 occasions, system is fine except when it comes to tracking the thing they offered to "make things right". Come to find out a year later, they offered the same goodwill package to 1/2 a dozen people that I know of and coincidentally, none of them got it either. If I was a douche I'd say names of who I spoke with and link screenshots of the conversations.
