are you from Japan? I don't understand too well about Japanese community common music taste. But the fact that this amazing band is not super popular is hard to believe to me. Like, no way they are not liked, they are the best band from Japan I've ever listened. Can you explain to me why and how? Maybe TH-cam is not the platform visited too often by Japanese, they are famous in another stream, or you people just being so unfair to them (>
@@tumtum3200 I am not Japanese, just someone invested in the culture and language, but I'll try to answer. First of all, I completely understand where you're coming from and I feel the same way. But just like anywhere else in the world, there's alot of variation in the type of music that people tend to like in Japan, and just like in any other culture, there are alot of artists that despite being super talented stay under the radar. Omoinotake would be one of those. They are definitely gaining alot more popularity and alot of people know about them in Japan. They're just not as mainstream as artists like radwimps, one ok rock, aimyon, kenshi yunezu, yoasobi, lisa etc. Two reasons imo: 1)Their music is and unique and different, and although alot of people love it, I can imagine people who would prefer to listen to stuff they're more used to (simpler chord progressions with louder, easy to grasp melodies and harmonies) 2) People haven't been exposed to their musical talent in a mainstream setting, so alot of people are simply unaware of this gem. You could compare them to alot of indie or post rock bands that despite being absolute gods in their craft, are super underrated. I totally understand the feeling that so many people are missing out on this GOLD. Still they are pretty famous! and trust me, the growing fanbase (both Japan and overseas) loves their stuff. So their talent is definitely being seen. This discussion is proof of that :)

It was used as the opening theme of the animation called Blue Period, but the animation didn't get that good reviews. But they are definitely gaining popularity!Recently, they also appeared on famous music programs.Even if it doesn't get an explosive hit, I think it will get more and more attention and become a popular band. I went on a one-man tour and it was a big success!Let's look forward to seeing them on the big stage!
