This movie is great at showing what hate looks like, what it can do, and where it comes from. Unfortunately I agree with you on who you have these types of discussions with because there are a lot of people who watch this movie and get the wrong idea about it.

The interaction between Edward Norton's character (Derek) and the black inmate who essentially saves his life in prison always gets me.
