Hi guys, thanks for your helpful review. At present I am a vest flyfisher but intend to change to a sling pack. The greatest concern I have is the usage of a fishing net. Have you any recommendations in this respect? How long should the stem of the net be? What about the fastening of the fishing net to the sling pack? Doesn't the fishing net awkwardly make the the use of the sling pack? Are there sling packs which are better suited to be used in combination with fishing nets? Thanks for your comments and recommendations!
The sling packs in the video have integrated net slots. I use a fishpond nomad mid length net and have a fishpond magnetic net release that attaches my net to my pack. This system has worked well for me. You probably want a longer handled net, as the short handle nets don't work well with these sling packs in my experience. Hope this helps!
You said you liked the rod tube holder straps on the submersible. If you haven’t already done so you can purchase those for $10-15 from fishpond and put them on your summit sling pack as well. I did it for my summit pack for long hikes.
Hi guys, great review. I currently own the Summit Sling as well and love it. I am however looking to upgrade to a Nomad net. I am trying to decided between the Emerger and the Mid-Length. Can you tell me what models are in this video? Any other input or recommendations would be great!
Thanks! The nets are the nomad mid-length net. The nets are great for what we like to do, as we tend to move/hike around alot when we fish. They are light weight and extra length on handle makes netting a fish so much easier.
Where i can find the same sling pack as yours ? I can only find the one that is worn on the right shoulder (and i’m looking for the left) or i don’t understand how it works :)
Man, thats a good question. I think it's made only to where on the right shoulder as that's the way I've only ever worn it. I'm not sure if they make ones that are for the left shoulder. You could probably call fishpond and check? I've called customer service several times and they are always helpful!
I fished the South Platte 7/14/21-7/15/21. Beautiful scenic river and our guide put us on the fish. 5280 Angler Guide Service and request Scott Thompson. Good guide and worth the $$$.
The info on the packs was great. Seeing the south Platte for a while was pretty awesome too. 👍
Thanks! Yea, fishing that river was a lot of fun!

Good review. Thank you very much.
Thanks! Glad it was helpful.
Thx for the review!
Thanks! Hope it helped!
Either your projected video is reversed or you somehow got a left shoulder summit sling.
Fishpond doesn't mess around when they say submersible!
For sure! They are hard to beat!
Fishpond is unrivaled is quality. Simms doesn't compare hopefully they make waders soon
I like simms waders and boots, but its hard to beat fishpond bags and nets!
@@OutdoorHighlife imagine if fishpond made boots and waders
@@evanhammond7305 Yea, that would be pretty cool!
