    Hercules knocked it out of the park with this controller. The only gripe is that it doesn't unlock the pro version of Serato. For $700, I think Serato Pro should be unlocked.

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeaaa, it’d be nice for sure. I luckily bought serato way back in like 2016.

      But the controller is more than worth it, and unlocking serato pro!

    • @alicksasylum
      @alicksasylum ปีที่แล้ว

      If you were buying a £1000+ controller I would agree. However, Serato Pro is £250 which would effectively make the T7 £350 (convert $$$ if you're not in the UK).

    • @atypical_blk_guy
      @atypical_blk_guy ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alicksasylum I agree with you somewhat but being that you can get the flx6 with serato pro that kinda defeats your argument. I'd even say that the t7 is a better controller.

      @@atypical_blk_guy Yes T7 is almost certainly a better controller. Hercules does not have the cash to throw in a free license.

    LiftOFF, first off thank you! I’m brand new to the DJ world and brand new to the Inpulse T7, and I’ve searched through plenty of videos trying to understand the basics….but you were the only one to explain the basics and functionality in basic understandable terms. Seriously, it’s appreciated. The frustration of trying to simply figure out how to get a track started and get output through the software was a battle in itself, but playing with the fx and not knowing how to turn them back off was a headache. This video helped a lot! 🤜🏾 you gained a sub.

    How does platter movement compare to the rev7?

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A large part of that depends on the slip mats you decide to use but the Rev 7 feels less resistant and more free flowing. Almost a little too free flowing for me in the beginning but I got used to it. The thicker slipmat on the T7 actually feels really good and scratching with it is nice. There’s also an upgrade you can make with the crossfader which will make quick/precise scratching much better

    • @dinosauriojacinto
      @dinosauriojacinto ปีที่แล้ว

      the large part depend is that rev7 motor is direct drive, so more torque, less spin up time and less delay when you let go the disc from hand. Hercules is belt driven motor, so less torque and important delay for spin up.

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dinosauriojacinto 💯💯
      If you backspin a lot, the belt drive hinders that a tad. And absolutely correct on a tad longer start up time than a direct drive but the T7 starts up really quickly itself.
      Thanks for these additional points.

    • @mauriceknight2124
      @mauriceknight2124 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @ignoranceisnotatrend4669
    @ignoranceisnotatrend4669 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Is the belt drive really a big issue that people are complaining about? Im a dj from the turntable era and was thinking about getting back into it just for small gigs and been doing my homework about ddj controllers, I was thinking about the rev 1 until i saw the Hercules t7 because of the old school look 👍🏽please give me your honest opinion about the Hercules t7

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you backspin a lot and use it for transitioning heavily, the T7 might not be the “best” option. I really like the T7 because it has all the bells and whistles for a really affordable price and I enjoy scratching on it. I haven’t tested it out on a gig so I can’t comment on the audio output power, but as far as the controller, I like it. Of course there are more expensive controllers that provide a different feel, but there’s no way you’re getting a controller with such great features for anywhere near this price.

    • @ignoranceisnotatrend4669
      @ignoranceisnotatrend4669 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What do you mean by transitioning? And how is it as far as mixing and blending 🎵 I don't mind being able to scratch in a song but at my age of 52 I value a good mix more than a scratch 😅 let me know your advice on this matter 👍🏽 and how superior is the t7 over the rev1 and is the t7 pretty much a affordable rane 1😅would love to hear your thoughts on my comment 😀

    Mine came yesterday, one of my fx levers were bent right out the box, this thing is like less than 10 pnds it’s honestly a toy that i cannot recommend it for pro/mobile uses. The hype on this thing has been ridiculous. For the price you pay It’s cheap for very good reason. I wanted to like it but gotta keep it 💯 strongly avoid it. Trust me!

    • @DJLiftOFF
      @DJLiftOFF  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Damn man, sorry to hear about the FX lever.
      Also, I hear you. I haven’t tried it out in the field yet but I want to so I can test the audio output directly from the controller.
      For the price, it does everything and more any other controller in its price range can do. It’s almost double the price to get the same features. But depending on the DJ, I can see it being great for some, while others may want the more expensive gear.

    • @DjTecniq
      @DjTecniq ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DJLiftOFF The hype around the reviews on this thing are to the roof. It “looks” cool but looks can be deceiving and it is nowhere near close to a back up unit to my Rev 7 which is what I originally intended it for. And mine got shipped with the thick slipmats i never got the thinner ones like in many reviews I’ve seen. After dropping the cash to put Innofader in you’re better off just getting the Rev 5. Even though I’m not a fan of mechanical platters the Rev 5 is def a more robust option.
