The White Mulberry is sweet, but in my opinion it doesn't have a lot of flavor. My favorite is Pakistan Mulberry.

My impression too. I love the Pakistan. I had a green Pakistan -- but I regretted buying the tree.

Mulberries remind me a bit of blackberries, which grow here in NC. I have picked them in the past, and we have made pies and pancake sauce toppings from them.

Can the green mulberry handle 110 degrees? How do gophers treat their roots? Where can I purchase mulberries trees?

All my mulberries are growing like crazy eat my fill everyday! Can you do a video on how to do the cuttings (when) so I know the best time to cut off the new growth so I can plant the cuttings?

Do any of those trees require chill hours, and if so, how much?

      They don't. It's a subtropical fruit tree

Do you gift grafts for mulberries?

There are lots of common mulberry trees in my neighborhood. When ripe, they are either red or pale. When I eat them I wear gloves because the red ones will stain your hands.

I love the way you can freeze mulberries, and they don’t go hard (due to the sugar content). You can put the frozen berries directly into your cereal.

My Pakistan Mulberry I bought 2 years ago from Tyty nursery is just now fruiting and they aren't long fruit but small like the standard short & fat mulberry fruit. Maybe they mislabeled.

Do you recommend a dwarf type mulberry when root spread is a consideration. like too close to a septic leach line or underground water pipes for sprinklers or house foundation?

    • @qctropicals
      @qctropicals  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I completely forgot about my dwarf everbearing mulberry lol. Anyway, that theory is a myth. They get big too.

you're colder. It will grow but you will lose lots of fruits to the late frost

I took it for granted growing up with tree mulberry trees. The berry's where half to a third the size of those and there was black and a white tree.

I bought my Pakistani Mulberry in 2018 or 2019 and I have only had one yr with lots of fruits.
I think I bought a tissue culture , and going forward I will not buy certsin type of plants from that nursery( wish I had known ).
I pruned my tree in late February, and It gave me little or no fruit.....I am in fl zone 9b .
I am very dissapointed with this tree .
Wish I saw this video before I bought mine or did my research.
Its a very large tree , so I cant figure out why I am not getting any fruits.

Buy a couple of dozen different variety scions and graft the fk out of it.

    • @qctropicals

it sounds like your tree was grafted and you didn't take care of the suckers.

Don't eat the ones on the ground. Fruit flies like to lay their eggs in them...
