If you are from Mexico, know that the artistic tradition or the tradition of Vastu Silpis- the architects, sculptors, masons and metallurgists- in India has close connections to the traditions of architects and sculptors from other ancient traditions including ancient Mesoamerican traditions and the Sumerian tradition.
The structure of South Indian temples are eerily similar to the temples at Tollan, Tikal, Tenochtitlan etc and to the more refined, later day Ziggurats. I say this with confidence because I belong to the Viswakarma community, the community of traditional architects, sculptors and metallurgists- and we believe that there may be a connection between the divine figure named Maya, who is considered an authority on South Indian architecture and the Mayan people.

@@chch1959 Don't blabber gibberish. Caves no. 9, 10, 12, 13 and 15 at Ajanta constructed during the period of Satavahanas as well as 8, 11, 14 to 29 no. caves constructed by Vakatakas. No rashtrakutas were even born at that time. Proper Buddhism was totally vanished before the reign of rashtrakutas. Though the Hindu and Jaina caves at Ellora were completed by rashtrakutas, they've nothing to do with Ajanta. And finally the Yadavas of Devagiri refer themselves as warriors originated from Dvaraka and Seuna desha (a region which includes parts of modern-day Khandesh and Malwa) in various stone inscriptions. Not a single source claims that they are any kannada or whatever. So better don't show your unhistorical ignorance.

Your videographer had done a commendable job to capture the beauty and splendour of these magnificent caves and the artistry of the hundreds of sculptors and labourers who must have spent their entire life or most of it, to carve out such images with crude and rudimentary tools without electricity to help them. I am falling short of words to thank these artisans and craftsmen for their monumental patience, perseverance, hard and dedicated work to leave behind such a culturally fabulous and proud legacy for future generations of India and the rest of the world
