    That's me!
The "bottle opener" is an anchor point for cargo netting when using the metro in its cargo config.
Glad my landing looked smooth on the video.

Oh wow! That’s awesome! Good to know 🤣 I knew it wasn’t actually a bottle opener but thought it might have been for seating or something. Having said that it would come in handy if you did need a bottle opener. Thanks for the smooth flight!

      @@JoshGoesSlow all good mate.
Definitely could use it for a bottle opener I think.

That’s the cutest little airport I’ve seen a long time. Great video once again.
Also, not many commercial flights these days where you can see into the cockpit.

I think Narrandera is even smaller than Narrabri!

Narrabri has to be the most unassuming airport in Australia

Would❤ to use a tiny regional airport like this someday!

I'm from Narrabri and I didn't know that we had a flight service to Narrabri still.

Bottle opener would be the most wonderfully Aussie thing ever to have on a regional plane :D - Think it's a cargo tie-down, but I so hope I'm wrong!

Yes haha. The pilot actually commented, and confirmed it is for cargo. Though If I need my beer opened on board, it’s good to know it’s there 🤣

That aircraft was built in San Antonio Texas. I wonder how many legs it took to get to Australia? That would be quite a ride in a Metro!

great video!, where did you put your luggage? is it in cargo space at the back of the plane, or did you cary that on?

    • @JoshGoesSlow
      @JoshGoesSlow  ปีที่แล้ว

I just had hand luggage, which usually gets put under the seat in front. Due to me having the front seat I had to put it in front of the seat opposite. I’m not entirely sure but I’m pretty sure you could check luggage in they goes into the cargo hold

Are there any toilets on board? I'd hate to have the sudden urge to go whilst on this flight... Besides that, great review mate, I'd love to try this route sometime!

No toilet on the Metro23. The other planes Link fly is the SAAB 340B Plus which does have a toilet. I get it that the Metro23 isn't flown by many airlines around the world these days and av geeks will want to fly in it, and I am a great supporter of airlines that service regional areas, BUT I do feel this is another example of regional residents getting less - imagine if passengers between Sydney and Melbourne were told that there will be no toilets on their flights! So I only hope that eventually this will be addressed as something that in 2023 should be basic on an air service!

Good video, enjoyed this. But having a coffee or snack after a flight isn't necessarily a sign of being desperate, it's one of life's small enjoyments!
