I love your videos i have been watching your videos for about 4 to 5 years now and they are still amazing my birthday is on the 18 of Feb and hoping to get one of your setups you use for pike keep up the great work and thanks for all the great videos and content.😁👍
keep going with the deadbaits for sure, i get the impression deadbaits outfish lures on the really coldest days where they find an easy free meal without having to chase it.
It's funny how some days different baits work. I've had some baits out all day and nothing and changed the bait and had a take soon after. I use bait elastic to secure the bait onto the hooks/snap tackle better especially with longer casts. I've been experimenting with single circle hooks also that hook the fish better in the scissors and reduce chance of deep hooking. Morrisons quite often have good deals on sardines cheaper than most tackle shops.
It really Is tough out there at the moment Dan. Here the river Is still up and muddy, all of the rain off the Welsh Mountains wash down and fill the river, at this time of year. Deadbaited a pool a couple of times In the week. Blanked both times. It has been Freezing more than normal though as well. Roll on the Spring.
I must admit, I do like to dead bait, I like lures more but before I can get the boat in I dead bait, I use spider bait elastic to keep my bait on. Great video as always.
I always dead bait u should get out before light and just as it gets dark there ur best times for dead bait and only do about 1 to 2 hrs in each spot of ur fishing river/canal if ur fishing lakes it's all day in the same spot u will see more like on the bait 👍👍🎣🎣🎣🎣
Sardines can come off the hook quite easily on the cast as there a soft bait so I always use a bit of bait elastic wrapped around a couple times just to hold it on. Maybe try experimenting with popping your deads up off the bottom by injecting them with air or using a pop up ball (there's many different ways to pop up baits) or using a syringe to load the bait up with an oil (i find lamprey oil to be a really good attractent). Deadbaiting can be a really great technique on its day and defo would enjoy watching you do it abit more.... although nothing beats getting slammed by a big pike on a lure 🤣
Hi Dan,good to see you back after the Christmas, how have u been finding the kayak? Rivers around me in Ireland very flooded and I'm bit nervous about getting back up the river after a few hours out! So been going to lakes on calm days , really enjoyable but I do much prefer heading out on the river. I don't know how you are able to stand!! Not a hope I could, have tumbled twice already so extra slow movements for me ( I'm a big fella) !! Got some lovely pike they can really bring you for a spin on the kayak!! Love the mauris mouse. Keep up the good work 😃
The best thing for you to do is just go deadbaiting a few more times and you’ll pick it up that’s what I did you always find your own way of learning. Can be hard going deadbaiting but the rewards are there Iv caught much bigger fish on deadbaits .
I use braid all year round and im in ny state finger lakes area upstate. Just have to use fluoro carbon leader or wire leader which ever is preferred. Braid will never let you down it keeps good tension on the fish makes the fight more intense you feel the fish way more than mono or straight fluero
I have its tasty. Most UK fisherman don't eat freshwater fish they prefer catch and release, if your a pike fisherman just release it, if you like carp you normally snog it then put it back.

not too bad at all mate, i went pikeing today on a local pool and a canal , not a sniff
Cracking reels the N-zon 5000
That bait is still sat in the margin there today 😂
Yes great content 👍🎣👍
One question: is the bait on the bottom, or suspended say a foot from the bottom?
What area you do your fishing . Always seem like nice places
Yes yes yes i love it 😊🎣
Great content addictive watching

Interesting that you use braid even for dead baiting. Ive always used mono for that

Deadbait yeah!! 👍👍👍
It's so exciting when the pike takes the bobber!!! 😬
Great video
What net is that bro
Sort yea hook box out mate - I’ll have a sleepless night after seeing that
Funny was just saying to a mate it’s time to get the trout back out
You need a rig bin mate
I like that knife you have
Couple of runs and both stuck so not a bad session. You probably only need to go out for the last hour.
Have you ever taste a pike?
I have its tasty. Most UK fisherman don't eat freshwater fish they prefer catch and release, if your a pike fisherman just release it, if you like carp you normally snog it then put it back.
MORE PLEASE!!! Don't get left behind = P r o m o S M !!!
Не ходи над спинингом, рыба перестаёт ловится.
