Good review. A shame you got scratches. I was hoping you'd get around to playing some of them for your opinion on how the remaster sounds, I've been waiting for a review on their sound before buying them.
Did you get your new copy? I'm interested in this box set, mostly because of Stranger Highways, but is a bit skeptical after what I've read about it. Was your new copy also scratched? How is the sound?
New set had some minor issues here and there, primarily defective sleeves and minor spots on records , but popmarket let me keep the first defective set, so I was able to combine the best of both and have one good set. Not sure why they had so many defects.
I contacted the Dio website and they said that they have not gotten one shipment back, I find this to be bullshit after watching this. They also wanted to charge me $36 shipping within the USA. PLEASE, there are no posters, nothing to make this heavy for $36 shipping. I pay $36 shipping for records from the Netherlands, NOT within my own country of USA. I really want this now to, this sucks. I saw DIO four times and every time I was front row. Shook his hand many, many times..lost count how many times he looked down and gave me the horns. I was also fortunate enough to meet him on the Strange Highways tour.
Exactly why I only buy individually! I don't do box sets when it comes to vinyl! It's a shame, absolutely no excuse for that shit! I bet everything I own they were pressed at "United" in Tennessee! The absolute worst pressing plant known to man! Unfortunately it's the "main" plant for vinyl these days! Hopefully as more plants open, it'll put an end to this carelessness! Good luck, man!

For one night Dio took me away from all that and gave me a night of heavy metal I'll never forget. That's fucked up a brand new box set had a record scratched. You're from Russia! My goal is to learn Russian. You deserve a full refund.

Shame that a lot of new vinyl is defective, we pay a lot of money & should have no issues. I ordered cd box set of this from Amazon.
