This verse is an allergory, since no one knows when the thief is coming, so no one will know the day of the coming of the Lord. Its not necesarily in the night, since some countries are in day light and some are in the night.

Notice the semicolons and other punctuations. We can see that while it is night somewhere and people are sleeping, in other places, people are at work in the plantations. And we don't work at night on the plantations generally.

This man is dumb, "coming as a thief at night" is a figurative expression, it doesn't mean he will come in the night. Jesus won't come during the peace process , the peace accord will announce the coming of a bigger destruction that will lead to the perilous time. When the bible says "Jesus will come as a thief in the night", it doesn't necessarily mean Jesus will come at night. That's wrong interpretation of the text. If for instance I meet somebody who I say looks like you, but it's not you, does it make you? It only means He will come at an unannounced, unexpected time; just as a thief doesn't announce to his intended victim(s) when he's coming to rob them.
That's how l understood it myself

When Jesus said, "no one knows the day or the hour," it was a clue when He will return. The Feast of Trumpets is a Feast that happens within a two day period, between sundown and sunrise, but Jews do not know which day or which hour the feast would start. The Rapture will occur during this Feast. All of Jesus important actions happen during Jewish Feasts.
The trumpet is a symbol of war. When ever there was a war or a war was coming there would be a sounding of a trumpet. 1ww 2nd ww and Revelation 18:4
