  • Anger is a powerful emotion that can often leave us feeling helpless, frustrated, and out of control. However, Gen-la Dekyong gives us the good news that understanding why we get angry can actually be our greatest ally in developing a more constructive response to life's challenges. This extract is taken from a teaching given by Gen-la Dekyong at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, UK and is based on the book How to Solve our Human Problems (/?p=3425) by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

This is helpful because i tend to get upset when i go somewhere for a service and i have a certain expectation that didn't get fulfilled. Anger can be a bit funny because why get upset because someone didn't do what you expect them to do. It's so silly.
Thank you for helping me realize this.

Anger is stress created by the delusional mind for not accepting the situation.
