This song literally became the favourite for me as soon it dropped, I constantly hear the song everyday lol
I think this is definitely 100% in their top 10 best songs. It's not rough but you feel every ounce of pressure he feels. He sung his HEART out! Another example of that Waiting on the Sun. It's a magical moment when Jake just clicks into the emotions behind the song. Makes it feel SO genuine.
Is it just me or does this song seem like a mixture of "Would Anyone Care" and "Always December"?

These song always make me feel not alone especially when I went through a horrible wound needing 26 stitches on my leg and could bleed out if the wound was any deeper and these songs made me keep fighting through no matter how completely I was through it no one even cared that I was so hurt alone but his songs made me feel cared and stronger through all that pain and loneliness
Oh and another citzen soldier song I love that got me through was "thank u for hating me" song from them helped me get over people I hated that abandoned me in my life
It's such a good song it compares to me 100% of the way 10/10 song I loved it also nice reaction

i am looking forward to Limit so much, cuz that's the one with Lo Spirit.
I figured I'd look him up since they were gonna do a song with him and HOLY COW. If you haven't, I highly recommend you do yourself a favor and give his stuff a listen. he's only got like 4 original songs released so far, but HOLY CRAP. I cannot oversell this music. It's amazing. And apparently Lo Spirit helped produce the whole next album CS is releasing after Scarecrow, so that album is bound to be just amazing.
That's how I found Loveless too, because they did Worst in Me with CS on the last album, and it was so damn good. And now I'm obsessed with Loveless too. So not only does CS keep putting out amazing music (and I mean, Golden Weather is easily one of my faves off this album), but they help me find other awesome bands too. It's like these guys were born to be in music, i swear
It’s so good. I think it’s perfect and I think all there songs are perfect. This really tops everything they’ve done.
I actually asked them once if they were at all religious and they responded to my question and said that they are all different beliefs and stuff like that. they have many different viewpoints and I think that makes them a better band because they have different experiences.
I'd actually love to hear your take on religion if you don't mind. I personally am a Christian and I love hearing other people's takes on what they think brought about the beginning of existence.
This is why I love watching your reactions man, this was completely my reaction too, this song is EXACTLY what I want from CS but not quitttte been getting it recently. Also like how even though you're a heavy fan you don't base your whole opinion of songs just on how heavy they are, different bands have different strengths and I feel like even if CS dabble in heavy stuff this sorta area will always be their strongest. Not sure I could choose between this one and Monster Made of Memories as a favourite since that one was great in a new experimental way whereas this one is just classic CS doing what they do best.

dude, i couldn't agree more. I am IN LOVE with this song. I literally listened to this on repeat for like a solid hour while doing errands yesterday and I'm STILL not over it. It's so goddamn good. Easily one of my faves off this album. And it absolutely gave me everything I want in one of their songs. I'm a fan of everything they do, the lighter more emotional stuff and the heavier stuff. But I think almost all of my fave songs have heavier elements mixed in (if they're not outright the heavier songs on that album). And this was THE example of the thing I think Citizen Soldier does better than anyone else on the planet, which is bringing real, deep emotion to hard rock and seamlessly blending it. I can't stop obsessing over this song

Madhouse grew on me and is one of my favorites, but this one will need time to grow too but I like it.

This reminds me so much of like, the Down the Rabbit Hole stuff, and I'm HERE FOR IT. I love so much of their music, but a callback to some of their older sound is much appreciated.
Edit: I don't know if he's really gone into it, but he grew up in a VERY religious area from what I remember.
