This is a much better way of learning than just reading the notes. It makes the brain work harder and this leads to understanding and retention. Thanks!
Thank you Dan for the lesson on “Moonlight Serenade” (Key of “F major”). You always make it seemingly very simple. I love the song. I still have my old score or lead sheet. I had marked two floating 2-5-1s’ on ^6 (Eb, A7(#5), D7(b9)) and on ^2 etc. thus making it sound nice with a bit of emotion. I hope you will do the 2nd part of this tutorial. Also, I hope you don’t mind performing the whole song as you did on the previous video lesson dated back February 4, 2018. You did a splendid performance. Much appreciated, Dan. 👍🥰
Hello! Yes, this is part of my redoing older videos from 2016 onwards so I'm not surprised you're aware of the previous! :) I will perform it fully in part 2! Always a pleasure, thanks for watching!
The one that i learned like this that showed me jazz songs are all easy progressions was "Emily"....the bridge never made sense to me until i broke it down into a 1-6-2-5 on the 6th.
