    Excellent stuff again boys, keep on keeping on. Best part of your videos is the way you avoid any elitism. Although the majority of your gear is high end, you always provide a budget alternative without being derogatory about it, unlike some other channels. Great stuff, and props to Oscar 🤧

    That’s a great guide. I’ve spent a fair amount of time over lockdown trying to get my kit comfortable rather than “correct”. I’ve taken advice and guidance from Ex operators and most of them agree with you that you don’t need Crye, Emerson Gear is just as good.
    However I have invested heavily in a Warrior Assault System LPC plate carrier as I wanted decent quality rather than just looks.

      For me its a hobby in itself collecting these things... if i didnt spend money on kit, i'd spend it on beer, or warhammer models... at least i can sell the kit on easier if i cant fit into it anymore. Much less of a market for second hand beer or toy soldiers :)

    Hey, it'd be absolutely sick if you could do something like a US Infantryman (either army or USMC, or "universal") kit during Operation Iraqi Freedom, specifically the first stages. It's a pretty affordable kit, and is a nice stopgap between the modern kits and the retro kits. An 80s/Desert Storm US kit would also be pretty badass.

    It is interesting the degree of homogenisation in SF kit at times. Pretty much multicam and high cut helmets. As you mentioned the kit could be the basis for a multitude of loadouts. Must have put a lot of work into the replicas.

    • @gadgeharvey5544
      @gadgeharvey5544 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Personally i think its part of a few things.. the amount of 'cross over' work they do means they get to share best practice and best kit, its also pretty much the 'apex' of effective design so even independently most units will go 'this style is best for us' and i imagine it also helps to have a common sillouhette if you're working together to avoid any hesitation when aquiring a target.. Just 'guesses ' on my part there though.

    • @AnvilAirsoftTV
      @AnvilAirsoftTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      There’s some small specific differences between the units. Type of pouch and location differs a bit. Largely though generic Multicam good guy is pretty similar. The enthusiast know the differences. Outwardly the biggest significant variation is the primary followed possibly by the plate carrier.

    • @derdersoft
      @derdersoft 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@gadgeharvey5544 That would certainly seem to be a strong contender for it. The degree of joint training and operations would lead to a "cross pollination" of kit.

    Bit of an addition to think about (that I know is used by SB and Hereford) is the Uber strong magnet in a Molle pouch worn on the belt kit - when transitioning to secondary the magnet holds the primary in place to stop it swinging around, very useful in CQB environments. Think Blackhawk make a proper version (so hideously expensive) and I haven’t seen clone versions anywhere yet.

      We play airsoft. There’s no real need to run armour. So for practical reasons such as weight and heat management a good chest rig is our choice for CQB generally. However if you’re going for a certain look or specific UKSF impression then we would go with a plate carrier.
