    Almond Milk Recipe
    1.5 Cups of raw almonds (soaked over night)
    7-8 cups of water
    3-4 pinches of salt
    Blend for 1-2 minutes. Line a nut bag into a large bowl and squeeze out all liquid. Place into your favorite glass containers.

    Anna, I signed into an old Gmail just so I could leave this comment! When I listened to you tell us that you live below the poverty line, I was shocked… but then I was completely overcome by admiration because you all of a sudden showed us a true, classic case of “money does not buy class”. The way you conduct yourself, your humility, gentleness, femininity, and relationship with the Lord gives you such a beautiful, put together and RESPECTABLE image that is so precious in the Lord’s sight. Your happiness, gratitude and worth does not come from figures… God bless you and your beautiful family.

    My husband and I don’t buy cleaner because the chemicals make me nervous (I’m also pregnant with our first which makes me even more nervous), I make our own laundry detergent and I also don’t buy dryer sheets! Instead I use wool dryer balls. If you want your clothes to have a scent then just add some essential oils! But check to make sure it can withstand the heat of your dryer. Lavender works great!

    • @AnnaDysett
      @AnnaDysett  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I love that! I also have a lavender from the pure brand that smells sooo good! I'll have to try to wool balls with it. What's your laundry detergent recipe? I just made mine and the directions said it was supposed to turn to a powder once cooled (it's more like a liquid gel)

    Lots of good suggestions! I do pretty much all these things except i don't do my nails, just never cared to. 😉 Another suggestion i would add is entertainment, etc - we don't pay to go to zoo's, museums, amusement parks etc. If we do go to something like that, it's because they're offering a free day or we get a pass from the library. We do more free "entertainment" like hiking, biking, going to a playground, library etc. No need to blow a bunch of money to have fun.

    • @AnnaDysett
      @AnnaDysett  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Agree! Last year we went out of town with my mom and took my kids to a kids museum (we spent several hundred dollars for all of us to get in) and honestly my son would have had more fun if we had just stayed back at the hotel and went to the pool 🤦🏼‍♀️ never again! Kids really love the simple free stuff.

    Oh those toys! That’s something I used to say I never wanted to get, but alas I did once I had kids, and it’s so overwhelming. But I’ve decluttered many times and it has slowly gone down, but I still feel like there’s so many! And both of my kids birthdays are just over a month from now. So another declutter needs to happen before all the new birthday gifts enter our home.

      Even I have rarely cut my hair. My son was born in 2019 and I’ve only ever gone to cut my hair twice! And I got my first pedicure in 2017 at a bachelorette party weekend not long after my daughter was born. I only go maybe once or twice a year. And I have been blessed with wonderful fingernails since I prefer not to paint them much. I just found your channel and I just love listening to you. When I was little we only got toys for birthdays and Christmas. Now with my children I bought toys way to much and I really think it was a mistake. Life was so much better when I was growing up in the 60s 70s and 80s. My family and I was watching home videos of my family (sisters, brothers and mom and dad) and my daughter said I know what is so great about it is that no one was on phones lol we were actually line dancing in my sisters yard and just having fun. You really have me thinking about life and how to be with my husband and shopping. I’m definitely a spur of the moment shopper trying to fill a void I think but I’m going to do better though.

    Hi sweet Anna! I really enjoyed our "sit down" chat...it's nice to see your lovely face. But I also understand about the season of life you're in, with young children playing nearby, so whenever the situation permits, please come back and visit again like this sometime. In the meantime, your voice overs are lovely, too, so it's ALL good! We have so much in common, despite our almost 30 years difference in age! I cook everything from scratch, too...when we were younger, it was for economical reasons, but now in our 60's, we both have health issues that demand I cook a certain way. I'm so thankful I learned to cook from my grandmother as a little girl...it has been invaluable all these years! I also love to experiment with making my own cleaners. For the tub, I simply fill a spray bottle 3/4 of the way with white vinegar, then top it off with Dawn dish soap. Works great, too! And no more asphyxiation from strong cleaners, lol! And for wiping down kitchen counters, I fill a spray bottle 2/3 way with water, 1/3 way with rubbing alcohol, then about 2 teaspoons of Dr.Bronners castille soap. Finally, I think it's so sweet that, while your income is a little tight, the tradeoff of being with hubby more at home is MORE than worth it! I adore my hubby, too, and enjoy every minute spent with him. Sending hugs and blessings, Pam

    • @AnnaDysett
      @AnnaDysett  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh Pam! I love hearing from you. I have not heard of the rubbing alcohol trick. I'll have to give that a try. Does the soap make it smell nice or is it just neutral? - I have always found that I mesh very well and make friends quicker with more mature women. I'm currently doing a bible study with three other women and one is my age and the other two are closer to your age (maybe even a bit older) and the dynamic has been such a blessing!!

      @@AnnaDysett Two of my best friends were over 20 years older than me...they've since gone home to be with the LORD, and I miss them terribly. I'm glad you have older sisters in your life, too. And about the castille soap, it is definitely a cleaning agent, and very natural ingredients, I believe. You might want to google it to learn more about it. Don't be afraid of the cost of the big bottle...at just 2 tsp per spray bottle, it will last forever! It comes in many lovely scents, too. ~Pam

    If I want something 1. Can I make it myself? 2. If yes then I would make it. 3. If not than I wait a month to 3 months than if I still need it and didn't found it second hand than I would buy.
    I think I am frugal. But I found myself buying cleaning detergent because my sink overflow and got stuck ai had to get something toxic to clean it up.
    And I have no enought time to sew my own clothes, make M.sci and live frugal.
    So sometimes I just buy.
    But I also found how to make Granola which saves me like 30 ₪weekly. And I still feel I need to get some chickens and goats to save money on milk and eggs. Which are a big spend

      I hope I can get into making clothes one day! I've loved fashion my entire life, and it's always been a dream of mine. I also can't believe how expensive granola is and I have started making mine in the air fryer! You've reminded me to share that sometime soon! I agree that the farm life would save a lot. We are in the city, so unfortunately we cannot have chickens, etc.. but maybe it will be in the Lord's plans for us in the future!

      @@AnnaDysett I am working on a second skirt, and a baby clothing as well, from linen and I love to knit, so I knit socks and sweaters and mittens.
      I made a belt from chammel wool and made headband from wool.
      I used what is local as much as I can find.
      I do need pray more often for Jesus to help me find a way to also have some land and chickens and goats.

    Hello, I really enjoyed this video! I'm interested in some of the recipes you make for your family. I'm trying to get away from packaged snacks. Can you please share some recipes that you make? I don't know where to start. I know it will be hard for my kids but I want to make changes. Thank you ❤

    What nail polish are you wearing and where do you usually shop for clothes 😍

      I mostly shop at thrift stores or from secondhand platforms like poshmark or ebay. I am wearing the gel nail strips I was talking about. Here is the color! This and pink blossom are my two favorites that I pretty much wear everyday bit.ly/4aL3Chy

    Milk ? Is important for bone growth for kids which are growing some if the other things are fine but milk?

    • @AnnaDysett
      @AnnaDysett  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’ve offered my children cows milk and neither will drink it. I would absolutely buy it if they liked it. Once they are weaned from breast milk I give them tons of dairy products like cheese and yogurt. Don’t worry, I’ve talked to their pediatrician. They are thriving 🤗

    I really wish i could do my nails from home but i work full time and use my hands a lot so they fall right off it doesnt matter how short they are :(

      I know a lot of people who are hard on their hands and still use the gel strips. I wouldn’t recommend the press ons though.

    A lot of us older people don’t leave our hair long or can’t because of thinning of hair, any suggestion on saving money on us.

    • @AnnaDysett
      @AnnaDysett  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ahh yes I can totally see that. I have very fine hair myself and realize it looks much thicker shorter. I do believe I too will also have to bite the bullet and have a professional take over again when I am older and I think that’s okay!

      When I get my hair cut I go to the barber instead of a salon. It’s usually at least half the price (at least in my local town). She cuts all of my boys’ hair and so a couple of year ago I asked her if she could do mine too.
