I'm completely new to bio as i took biomed but switched in ap bio and I've noticed that when ever I try to study for this class like for example reading a book or even watching the video (you mention things like Monosccharides just in the first few min of the video) which I have never heard of Almost all the time I don't understand what I am reading or hearing. With that being said I am lost and I don't know what to do nor do i know where I can go to start from the basics, do you have any tips by chance?
@@hiamamuffin5155 it sounds like you are lost on your vocab which leads to overall misunderstanding. I would see if you can start looking up some of the vocab words as you read your textbook. I would read before class so you won’t be as lost.
Hi, is it possible for the second FRQ to answer that the process is the breakage of phosphodiester bond? Without naming the specific molecules? Thanks!
I'm not from the US and I'm giving the AP Bio this year and I was so freaked out but I found your channel and you have been a huuuugeeee help. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Love your resources!
I never took chemistry…do you have any tips or advice about this unit because we’re already moving onto the second unit and I don’t 100% understand this one yet because of all the chemistry involved.
@@kalb6122 the biggest thing you need to understand is the polar vs nonpolar covalent bonding, hydrogen bonds, and functional groups. The chemistry is built into the topics so you learn the chemistry without realizing it. You got this!
I don't want y'all up LATE on Wednesday night studying. I did the session on Saturday. Check my "lives" and you will see a "CRAM Session". I am speed running through and it was almost 2 hours long (oh my!). I will be doing a live session with @marcolearning at 8pm on Wednesday, 5/15 to cover Tips & Tricks plus review through practice Qs.
Hey! I’m am confused on the part where both lipids and nucleic acids both have nitrogen. Then what is the thing about CHO CHO CHON CHONP or is this even real in ap bio?
I think the Amoeba Sisters came up with CHO CHO CHONS CHONP. Its referring to the elements that you need to know that are in it. Carbohydrates have CHO, Lipids have CHO, Proteins have CHONS, and Nucleic Acids have CHONP. Lipids do NOT have nitrogen - did I misspeak and say lipids instead of proteins? Some lipids have phosphorus (phospholipids).
@@CherrySakura-di7wt it is in the R group. If you google the structure of cysteine and methionine, you will see there is a sulfur in the side chain. Every polypeptide starts with methionine as it is the result of the start codon in translation. Hope that helps ❤️🤓🐧
I dont feel ready for exam even tho im ready snd all my teacher never gave us any past paper and is not helping us we are doing self study all alone Do u have any past paper with frq i can partice
Sorry no. It’s to protect my intellectual property. I used to openly share the word document then someone posted it to their teacher pay teacher account to make money off of it.

Hi, great video by the way, but what does it say for universal solvent, the webcam blocked it.

Not a problem. The early units are easy for catch up 🤩

Are all Monosaccharides held together by covalent bonds or just Glucose?
Yes. The glycosidic linkage is between two monosaccharides (and they don’t have to be glucose)
11:52 where' the sulfur??
