To Irene, he's a labelmate, senior, close friend and one of the only guys in her life that treat her with immense respect and kindness. I would like to say something about the scandal, I know it's late but I still wanna say it since alot of people in the comments are speaking about it. honestly what I wanna say is that we don't really know the whole story or Irene's side of the story so I don't think we should judge her personality (not saying you are judging her) Way, a former kpop idol of the former group crayon pop has talked about this in her youtube channel. She explained how these incidents occure, how it often happened in the Kpop industry and there's always two sides of these types of incidents. She's a former Kpop Idol so I think her perspective is pretty creditable since she knows alot about These stuffs. Back in 2016 when the same stylist worked with Irene, she complimented her alot saying "she is such a shy flower" "I wish I could be more warmer to you (Irene)" and now in her statement she suddenly said "I've always heard stories that I should be mentally prepared to work with her (Irene)" like THIS part made me really feel suspicious. But I'm not blaming her or anything and I don't want to either, but I just can't help but feel suspicious about this incident. So that's why I'm saying that we shouldn't judge her by only seeing one side of the story. I don't know if she will ever speak about it publicly but if does then it's good, but if she doesn't then I don't think we should make any assumptions about her and her personality. And the stylist have also clarified in another post that the "other staffs" are two other staffs who assisted her that day but she didn't specifically said whether those two staffs experienced it or witnessed it. And the staff never said that rene yelled or lashed out at her. She said that told her words that hurt her, but she never said how she said those words. It was a one time incident that occured that day which was clarified by the company. And the company will obviously confirm one side at that time, do you seriously think they will reveal the whole story at that time when everything was hazardous??? Use your head, they will obviously think about calming down the situation first. Try to at least do proper research and THINK next time.

Some context for that: that guy isn't just any guy to Irene. That was Kim Heechul. To Irene, he's a labelmate, senior, close friend and one of the only guys in her life that treat her with immense respect and kindness. They're very close and even before he met Irene, Heechul has always had a reputation of being a "safe zone" for female Idols. As in: his reputation of being a perfect gentleman is so well known that sometimes female Idols who never even talked to him will seek him out at shows and events and hang around him because they know they'll be safer in his presence. He's known for being extremely kind and respectful and taking very good care of the people around him. That's why Irene had basically no reaction to him wiping the sauce off of her face, aside from holding still to actually let him do it. Heechul has completely earned her trust.
