First Electric Caltrain

First revenue electric Caltrain ride on NB#221, Sunday, August 11, 2024. Following arrival in San Francisco, the train turned around and returned to Tamien as SB#228.
The day before, dignitaries had a round-trip VIP excursion from San Francisco to Millbrae and back.

Nice, it accelerates a lot faster than the diesel, it's pretty quiet too. I hope the travel times are faster.

No offence but even this train seems hella clunky when compared to the same model in Europe. Why do the doors need a voice that reminds you that the doors are closing. Like, just use a normal sound like the rest of the world.

beautiful ! a shame it took this long !!! those dirty diesel locomotives have been belching out pollution along the peninsula for way way way too long. I'm very excited for this upgrade
