I used a programme that allowed me to watch TV on my computer. I used the sound recorder that comes with WinXP to record the music as it was being played on Sky1. As well as being used in the idents, this music was used in the multi-start pre-start screen. I'm not sure if it still happens but you were able to start certain shows every 15 minutes after the original start. This music played until the next 15 minutes were up. That's why there is no other sound effects or talking over the top.
Thinking about it, with the ability to record onto the HDD and watch shows from days ago at will (eg. youview), there would no need for channels to offer multi-start services like it was five or so years ago.
