Indeed. Dimash combined at least 3 different styles & maybe 4 in this song, but it is absolutely necessary to consider that the music is being used to tell a story in a video. So, it is necessary to watch every second of the video to begin to understand the music choices made. Dimash himself has called this video a "comedy/drama" meant to be lighthearted while seeming to be very serious "action/romance." I'm an old retired vocal teacher/singer/performer & I understand the desire to classify & departmentalize every part of a musical performance, but I have learned that Dimash has pushed all those long-accepted boundaries out to new places & as an artist, he doesn't accept boundaries. He experiments and combines both the gifted talent & the years of serious training that allow him to experiment.

Watch a few of his concerts: Bastau, his first in 2018, then his first Russian Concert, a concert in China and his concert in New York in December. They are all sold out and the size of some of the audiences is astounding. Dimash in concert is a powerhouse of energy.

Dimash once was asked what would be the colour of music, and he answered: cameleon. 😍 I love so much his versatility, uniqueness, he is like a multifaceted rare priceless gem! Btw, he is a huge MJ & Jackie Chan fan, he wanted to play a role like this in an action- comedy movie from his childhood. ( He talks about this in Be With Me backstage video on his channel ). And he has red belt in Taekwondo ( it's right before the black belt level) though he only practiced it for 3 years in his teens he still very flexible. I think he could be a top athlete if he choose that direction, he is very good in soccer, & swimming, he always loved the extreme sports but never did. I heard him for the first time 1.5 months ago with SOS (our first reaction). What I heard this time was different than the ballads that I heard from him so no, I didn't know he could mix like this. It's not just the singing technique, it's the music as well that were a source of confusion. I wasn't trying to put himself in a box. I was trying to find a box for the song itself. Anyway! It's ok if you don't subscribe, I do other types of reactions than mainstream ones 😊. When I'm alone - we"re usually 2 reacting on this channel but we also 2 solo reactions every now and then 😁
Just a comment that Dimash has millions more fans than are on You Tube. Some folks seem to think that if you aren’t well known in the US, you haven’t made the cut. Please remember this man is a super star on the opposite side of our world. He has fan clubs in 120 countries and they all don’t use You Tube. He has just broken into the US market in the past couple years, and the Dears love promoting him. He sold out his solo concert at the Barkley Center in NY in December 2019. And yes, he does martial arts, swims the length of an Olympic swimming pool underwater for breath control, and can play soccer. As well rounded in his non-singing life as he is musically. He's also working on his Ph.D. in Musicology in his spare time. And to top it all off, he can sing any genre in any range! Best singer in the world!

I’m confused, as to why you are so confused, throughout your entire reaction? You are familiar with Dimash, right? So you know that he created his own style of music fusing both his opera and contemporary training, so why do you find it so confusing that he is now doing a contemporary song, but still utilizing all of his range and talents, to create a new genre. If you are exposed to so much music, why are you trying to put him into a box with this song? FYI, yes Dimash knows martial arts because the two things that he does to keep in shape, both physically and with his lung capacity, are swimming and taekwondo. Hey Steve ! actually I'm not THAT familiar with Dimash :) I've found him 1.5 months ago through my fellow vocal nerd - Juliett - we do reactions with her on this channel if you go on the main page :D it's my 3rd filmed reaction to him but 5th performance [I decided to not go further without filming because I realised after 4 that he's just gonna surprise me everytime so I SHOULD film]. Anyways, it's true that my reactions are not 'mainstream', not just the typical ''wow, amazing'' style. I do focus a lot on : vocals, visuals, SONGWRITING especially and the overall artistic performance. This was A LOT to analyse for the first time so I couldn't focus properly on everything cause indeed, it was a surprise. So even if I wasn't trying to put Dimash himself in a box, I was trying to categorise the song as a style and I ended up not being able to : hence the confused face. That being said, I'll end up saying I'm not trying to please everyone :) *there's no need to subscribe for every Dimash reactor though, subscribe to these that you resonate with, it's..normal ! :D

This is going to be my opinion so please bear with me. I think the reason that Taylor Swift is much more popular is that people can relate to her songs. I do agree that Dimash should be far more famous and popular, but the truth is The people who truly appreciate him are those who either completely understand music or are empaths who can be moved by beautiful music.
ASMR is an acronym for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It’s a physical sensation similar to, but different than, synesthesia “goosebumps” from music, etc. It’s a tingling sensation usually felt in the back of the scalp and sometimes down into the back, arms, etc. Certain things (like quiet, whispery voices) trigger this sensation in those who experience it. Not everyone does, apparently. I do. There’s not been much research yet into what causes it exactly beyond it may have to do with dopamine reactions in the body. TH-cam and mainstream media have distorted it over the last decade and the term is now more associated with people who don’t even experience ASMR making noises, sensually speaking, etc for TH-cam profit..
Interesting. I really like the "opera" parts. I feel that it all fits together quite well and is pleasing, at least to my ear. Maybe because I am used to Dimash melding different genres and colors into one song. Even for a pop song the music and arrangements are quite complex. It's actually what I love best about his music -- it's unique and never boring or predictable.

But i have to agree that although I did enjoy he inserted operatic parts in the song which makes super unique and interesting, the opera parts was my least favourite, if I had to pick one. And interestingly enough, it's what he's best at generally speaking . Looking back, my favourite part was the asmr sensual parts that were very well thought in terms of songwriting and obviously beautifully sang, and the Kazakh style - i found that sooooooo hilarious! (i think it's because of my personality 😊 my saying is 'if you do something but fail to make someone smile on the way, then that something is useless)

Indeed. Dimash combined at least 3 different styles & maybe 4 in this song, but it is absolutely necessary to consider that the music is being used to tell a story in a video. So, it is necessary to watch every second of the video to begin to understand the music choices made. Dimash himself has called this video a "comedy/drama" meant to be lighthearted while seeming to be very serious "action/romance." I'm an old retired vocal teacher/singer/performer & I understand the desire to classify & departmentalize every part of a musical performance, but I have learned that Dimash has pushed all those long-accepted boundaries out to new places & as an artist, he doesn't accept boundaries. He experiments and combines both the gifted talent & the years of serious training that allow him to experiment.

And he has red belt in Taekwondo ( it's right before the black belt level) though he only practiced it for 3 years in his teens he still very flexible. I think he could be a top athlete if he choose that direction, he is very good in soccer, & swimming, he always loved the extreme sports but never did. Actually this is my 3rd reaction to dimash and i wasn't actually exposed to his music a lot. I heard him for the first time 1.5 months ago with SOS (our first reaction). What I heard this time was different than the ballads that I heard from him so no, I didn't know he could mix like this. It's not just the singing technique, it's the music as well that were a source of confusion. I wasn't trying to put himself in a box. I was trying to find a box for the song itself. Anyway! It's ok if you don't subscribe, I do other types of reactions than mainstream ones 😊. When I'm alone - we"re usually 2 reacting on this channel but we also 2 solo reactions every now and then 😁

Just a comment that Dimash has millions more fans than are on You Tube. Some folks seem to think that if you aren’t well known in the US, you haven’t made the cut. Please remember this man is a super star on the opposite side of our world. He has fan clubs in 120 countries and they all don’t use You Tube. He has just broken into the US market in the past couple years, and the Dears love promoting him. He sold out his solo concert at the Barkley Center in NY in December 2019. Fans attended from dozens of different countries.

And yes, he does martial arts, swims the length of an Olympic swimming pool underwater for breath control, and can play soccer. As well rounded in his non-singing life as he is musically. I’m confused, as to why you are so confused, throughout your entire reaction? You are familiar with Dimash, right? So you know that he created his own style of music fusing both his opera and contemporary training, so why do you find it so confusing that he is now doing a contemporary song, but still utilizing all of his range and talents, to create a new genre. Hey Steve ! actually I'm not THAT familiar with Dimash :) I've found him 1.5 months ago through my fellow vocal nerd - Juliett - we do reactions with her on this channel if you go on the main page :D it's my 3rd filmed reaction to him but 5th performance [I decided to not go further without filming because I realised after 4 that he's just gonna surprise me everytime so I SHOULD film]. Anyways, it's true that my reactions are not 'mainstream', not just the typical ''wow, amazing'' style. I do focus a lot on : vocals, visuals, SONGWRITING especially and the overall artistic performance. This was A LOT to analyse for the first time so I couldn't focus properly on everything cause indeed, it was a surprise. So even if I wasn't trying to put Dimash himself in a box, I was trying to categorise the song as a style and I ended up not being able to : hence the confused face. That being said, I'll end up saying I'm not trying to please everyone :)

This is going to be my opinion so please bear with me. I think the reason that Taylor Swift is much more popular is that people can relate to her songs. I do agree that Dimash should be far more famous and popular, but the truth is The people who truly appreciate him are those who either completely understand music or are empaths who can be moved by beautiful music.

I noticed that he is showing everything he knows in every single song but here less would be more I think. That opera style doesn't fit there.

Interesting. I really like the "opera" parts. I feel that it all fits together quite well and is pleasing, at least to my ear. Maybe because I am used to Dimash melding different genres and colors into one song. Even for a pop song the music and arrangements are quite complex. It's actually what I love best about his music -- it's unique and never boring or predictable.
@@dihathaway7076 for sure it's not boring / predictable!!! I was listening to it all the way through it. But i have to agree that although I did enjoy he inserted operatic parts in the song which makes super unique and interesting, the opera parts was my least favourite, if I had to pick one. And interestingly enough, it's what he's best at generally speaking . Looking back, my favourite part was the asmr sensual parts that were very well thought in terms of songwriting and obviously beautifully sang, and the Kazakh style - i found that sooooooo hilarious! (i think it's because of my personality 😊 my saying is 'if you do something but fail to make someone smile on the way, then that something is useless)

You even missed the part where they take the photo with the elderly and give many more details for being distracted looking the other way doing your Show ...
uhm... well, it's quite an action video so I didn't judge necessary to point all the nice visual moments [there are MANY]. To be honest, I almost thing that would not have done justice to his voice :) for real - hearing all these dynamics and vocal changes and.... looking only at the video? that means cancelling all the vocal talent he showed. :)
