One extra note: attract, intrigue, and content. The biggest element is meant to be the focal point, the medium element should intrigue the user, and the last one is meant for the content/message.
Thank you for such video. I would say that even if Design is not super fancy but hierarchy set in a right way it could still make a website to stand out!
Thank you so much for doing these videos. I know you don't do it for the sake of positive responses, but that dosen't mean you shouldn't get any. Once again, thank you.
Great video. I agree with all of these methods and actually use them all the time. I disagree with your examples because they didn't quite prove the methods you were describing. However, they did prove one more method of hierarchy the you didn't mention: Position on the page (because I read your examples out of the order you intended by simply starting at the top). For me, an English speaker, I nearly ALWAYS first look at the top left of anything. Still, great video and thanks for all the content!
Thank you for the video I have been reading article after article for weeks and not finding anything about the relationship between: 1. Parent and Child Pages 2. Categories and Child Categories.(on pages not posts) This video was fantastic but I am still a little confused. I am trying to plan my site architecture and hierarchy and don’t want to make mistakes again which will affect the site negatively as it grows. I am planning a music agency and just can't work out whether categories should be above Parent-child pages in a hierarchy or below. I have 3 Main Categories or Parent pages as follows: 1. Live Bands 2. Vintage Themed Entertainment 3. Singers and Musicians Each one has multiple child categories or pages underneath such as: 1. Live Bands - Jazz and Swing - instrumental Jazz - Jazz Duos - Jazz Quartets I can make this work with either parent-child pages or categories but I also have to target counties/ regions for Jazz bands( and many other Live bands genres) how to do I make that fit within the hierarchy. Not sure whether it should be in the hierarchy or whether I should just use a custom post type and have a search function on the jazz and swing page for band type and location. I also have been exploring custom post types for the specific acts but again that is another area I am not sure where it fits. I’ve been over and over with this for weeks and just can’t make a decision about how to approach. Any guidance or advice and I would be eternally grateful. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You should sell those graphic design example text posters. People would buy them because they are kind of funny but would also be a cool thing to have in a graphic design artist's office.
I know that you read a lot of comments so hopefully you will read this. I really like your content but please spend more time thinking about the titles och thumbnails on your videos. What you are doing right now is Lazy work. You should get a lot more viewers once you find a way to attract new people, CRUSH IT MAN!
This is glas clear! You are very good in explaining the composition rules!
you clears out very important design theory...appreciate it!
