Another great episode, were loving this series! We met Angel back in 2007 and it was like meeting a star! Not only has he achieved so much, but he's also so lovely!! Awesome video! Mac & Sarah
66 across the Mojave desert part of California is VERY rough and no doubt you will have some closures and detours. Once you have finished this trip you should do a special video on how the Van build actually worked out for you. Plus how the van handled - mountains, dirt roads, MPG, etc. Because a lot of the Transit connect folks who build out in the east have not experienced the west and you can fill them in on what to expect, what they need to have and what is not important to carry along.
@mikeandheather I did 66 in late May and June and tried my hand at chronicling the trip on You Tube. Not too horrible for a retired Boomer learning how to edit lol
You are right! We learned later that he usually leaves his shop before 9am so the fact we saw him in the afternoon was rare, we were very lucky! Thank you for watching!
I lived in Oatman through the 90s. Managed the Oatman Hotel Restaurant, the only one left from when I was there. They roll the sidewalks up pretty early there, but earlier, there's a LOT more going on. Good time in my life; the stories I could tell! LOL! I was also a tour guide at the Grand Canyon Caverns...too bad you missed that, really cool place. You'll just have to go back and see all the things you missed!
You are right! We have so many new places to add to our bucket list! After traveling we thought we would be crossing off places but we have just been adding more. Oatman was a really cool place, we are excited to revisit it when the businesses are actually open haha When we go back we will have to check out the Oatman Hotel Restaurant :) Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!
We are a little far behind so we are trying to catch you up haha Arizona was probably our favorite stretch of Route 66! Thank you so much for watching, we really appreciate it!
I love going over mountains, dude it's not white knuckle through there, last time I came back down from Sitgreaves Pass after doing some night photography I had a pack of cows pass in front of me about 2A, hard to see cows at night, lol. Have fun, safe travels!
haha for us East-coasters that was white knuckling! We live by a bunch of flat farm land, maybe some rolling hills at best so that road was pretty legit! lol Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!

We met Angel and it was one of the highlights on Route 66! What a sweet man!
That is awesome! That was one of the main highlights for us as well 😊
I've said it before, but I'll say it again. I came here for the Van Build, but stayed for the Personalities! Love watching your adventures
You are too kind! We really appreciate you watching, it means a lot to us!
Me too

Yes, I would love that video, because I'm actually thinking about getting a Connect next year.
Seligman is a cool 😎 Route 66 stop 😀👍
You guys crack me up. Mike and the donkeys were hilarious.
I am so jealous that you got to meet Angel. Been there a couple of times but never had the good fortune to meet him.
You made it through the Sidewinder!!! I loved it and it's a good warm-up for PCH Rt1
You are right! It was a good warm-up for PCH Rt1😊 Thank you for watching, we really appreciate it!

@@mikeandheather Take a trip up the Million Dollar Hwy...
❤❤
I was hoping you didn't knock over the motorcycles. You saw wild hogs I hope.
That is too funny! Heather actually has a small apple tattoo (not the company but just an apple) so she could have played the part well haha
