Haha! I brought back a small stone from Ein Gedi and wrote the location and date on the stone. I also brought back salt rocks that I gathered in the Dead Sea and keep in a small jar. Definitely more meaningful than the tourist souvenirs. 😊

David wasn’t seeing Goliath, he was seeing God’s victory.
God does most of his trainings in the secret place but how often do we release ourselves to this. I like the analogy with Jesus Christ…Another is that both David and Jesus went into battle alone and won bringing many with them into that same victory.
I wonder what was going through David’s family’s mind when he went out in battle especially his elder brother🫠

I was wondering how Saul didn't recognize David when he asked about his family. Makes sense...

The valley of Elah: Elah means oak. Perhaps it is a type of the cross.
David's brother is someone who submits to the hierarchy of a fearful and carnal king. God is the spiritual (not carnal) king of David. I'm tired of looking for a godly church in my city. Church attendees look up to their carnal-minded pastor. If you want to discuss to them scripture they won't even listen to you because their pastor and the church hierarchy discourages them.
