That wasn't a very long submerged test. :D Hot glue seems water resistant but it is not. If you were mounting the lights to a hood, that's one thing, but for submerged lighting this is not a good idea. Over time water will work its way between the glass and the glue. The glue will also degrade, taking in minerals from the water, becoming less rubbery. The same thing happens with suction cups used to wrangle aquarium tubing. They absorb minerals from the water, and will lose pliability, becoming firm and then brittle. Also the amount of LEDS and light produced here are WAY too bright for your fish. You need to add a dimmer to your power supply.
