- Lines are an essential element of motion graphics, knowing how to create the line you want will help you deliver the creative content you've been wanting. Doing that in DaVinci Resolve is super easy and we will look at different ways to create animated lines in this tutorial.
Enjoy!

Great tutorial! Thank you so much!
Great tutorial. Thanks.
Excellent ! Thank you
Awesome ! This is exactly what I needed . Keep it up mate
thank you!
Extraordinary Bro ... Thank you So Much 🙏🏻
one of the best tuts on understanding how to leverage path animation in fusion.
Cheers
b
thank you very much!
Awesome🔥
awesome ty
So much value. Thank u for taking ur time to give us this ❤
it is absolutely my pleasure. Thank you and happy new year : )
exactly what i needed :)
Such an informative video, straight to the point. Good job and thank you!
that's my style : ) thank you!
awesome
I like how you get the direction the arrow is pointing to link up to the path -> "direction".
glad you find that helpful : )
Thanks for the tutorial.
Just as an additional information, you can also link the position of the triangle to the arc through an expression containing the length parameter of the arc. By doing so you do not have to manually adjust the Ease In / Ease Out in the Spline Editor
that's a really cool tip! thank you for bringing that up : )
This is incredibly difficult.
Yep, easy way is just get yourself a PNG of an arrow and then keyframe it moving 😂no fusion needed
Nah it's easy...how about "explaining lines" editor uses bunch of lines, circles nd Arrows to explain certain topics you can just download PNG nd keyframe it for such purpose..well I've spent 2 working on it ..nd it turned out pretty well
amazing. how did you find out all this information, just by trial and error or did some advanced course from Davinci Fusion? So many parameters!
i know, it gets a bit crazy to navigate for sure. def a lot of trial and error and also just watching youtube tutorials, we have a wonderful community here on youtube : )
i already did multiple video, cropping & combining in one frame. how to make the "backgroung for media in" using the overall timeline not each individual clips?
Whenever I try to make the arrowhead follow the line displacement (on circles), the displacement isn't being properly keyframes. Therefore, the triangle moves to the line, but doesn't follow its movement, resulting in a static arrowhead. Does anyone know how to fix this? I looked through the tutorial multiple times now
Hi your video has been informative. Just an enquiry where what if I want the arrow to stop midway and then continue on the path again. Is it possible? Would love to hear ur insight about it.
hi thank you! yes, that is absolutely possible, it all comes to keyframing, that would be the key to stopping the motion and then starting it again.
@@videoeditingcentral Can you elaborate cos I tried to do keyframing the so called image just follows the path without stopping.
@@puterailham7112 Try keying the "displacement" (12:09) where you want the arrow to stop but the line to continue.
@@eshan309So I did the key in the displacement but the path just continue onwards
@@eshan309 I have managed to figure it our thank you for taking ur time to guide me. Greatly appreciated.
VERY advanced techniques. But what seems to be missing is how to do animations over existing clips. My need is for animation to happen on top of an existing video clip, so that I can precisely time when and where the animations happen on screen. For example, I want a box to highlight a part of my video at precisely the place in the video where it needs to be, and then fade away at the exact time it is supposed to exist. How do I bring in a video clip and scrub it to where I need it to be in order to apply these animations?
You would have to do all it in fusion, basically you will have to put that part of your video in fusion.
hi, good question. so in that case, sounds like you can finish the animation in Fusion and then use it as a clip on top of another clip you have on the Edit page, it will apply since the alpha channel is intact. hope this helps.
heyy how to change colour of polygon ??
Simple, change the colour of the bg node
Instructions not that clear, kindly improve that
