They have a certain awesomeness to them! I think half of the appeal is they lean towards more top down views which are awesome. I have a perfect side view from the desk chair then standing mainly top downs
The lagoon looks good Deven. I like how you placed the vortechs on the back. 👌 Nice rock scape as well. Good job on eradicating those pesky aiptasia. Hopefully when you get another copper band that they’ll play well together.
Everything looks great. I wish I could keep 1 copperband let alone 2. That Duncan coral you breezed past was crazy looking. Never seen one quite like it
@@ReefDudes I also suffered from vermatage. I had to go through great lengths to remove tryed everything from bumble bees to glue but when you have thousands it becomes difficult to remove, so I dried out my main display that includes removing pipe works pumps power heads soaked with vinegar and dried. Having said that as an experiment I placed 1 rock with vermatage in a quarantine tank did not dose calcium or alk minimal flow removed detritus every week raised temp and 7 months later that live rock was vermatage free . Now a year and 2 months later I have a vermatage free tank . th-cam.com/video/-BOTRGr_foc/w-d-xo.html
You can add multiple copperbands no problem. I had one then I added another one then I added another one no problem, in the past I kept two no problem , not like tangs sometimes better add them in same time, with copperbands it doesn’t matter same time or not , good video as always
it all comes down to how much is being used up. you can supplement with water changes or via dosing.. one way or another as long as you keep things stable!
@@ReefDudes I’m in the middle of a peninsula tank build, fish all over the house, one more thing and I’m gonna loose my mind. Frag tank will have to wait a month or two. Sump has been on order for 11 months :(
I've always wanted to see 2 copperbands together. I was close to doing this one time. Please video everything Devon if you can. Very curious. I believe they will coincide with no problems but always been curious of their initial reaction.
Do you watch your nitrate levels when adding nitrifying bacteria? Just a hunch I have but wondered if there's some truth to a thought that adding these solutions could drive up your nutrient levels?
Man don’t take this as fact, but I think I heard the owner of brightwell say not to mix his bacteria products. I think it was just cause one outcompetes the other. So nothing bad should happen.
@@ReefDudes I got this el cheapo seriatopora from Fauna Marin ages ago - think it was purple with stunning green tips and I couldn't believe how beauitiful it was - it died like immediately. Saying that I do alright with my favourite corals - acros (even deepwater), palawanensis type montis and torches... I'd rather do well with those than Seriatopora, candy cane and fungia (another one - I tried 2 of those and they are so pricey now I can't try again;) So that's the main thing and I'm sure one day I will succeed ;)
This is my dream tank, a shallow lagoon. I have always like the more area vs more depth.
Love that sand! our common acquaintance Aron might be the mastermind behind us both using it 😂
He certainly is haha
I'm liking these shallow type tanks more and more

Loving the tank!!! Looks like it's really humming along...I'd love to have a copper band someday. Such a gorgeous fish!!!
They really are beautiful fish!
Looks to be settling in nicely! 👍

Some ASMR coffee action for the New Year🥳☕❤
Happy New Year!
Nice aquascape. Good luck with your experiment. The ugly phase is the worst about stating a reef tank.
Looking good!
Thank you!
That small area to the left would be an awesome rfa garden!!👍
I think so too! hopefully i can get them to stay there!
how did you got rid of aiptasia you mentioned at min 05:06 ?
That tank had a small army of Nudibranchs
Everything looks great. I wish I could keep 1 copperband let alone 2. That Duncan coral you breezed past was crazy looking. Never seen one quite like it
The stripey one is super cool! !!
Hahaha I see my sight pointer sitting beside your nudibranch jar!!!!
Lol yes you do!!! I’ll make it to post office soon!!!
Great update .👍 be careful rocks with previous vermatage snails need to be dryed out possible vermatage will be back , finger crossed they don’t .
I chipped and fragged the corals off the old rock and didnt re-use and of the old nasty stuff! hopefully nothing snuck in :)

@@ReefDudes absolutely 100%
Looking awesome! 🙌
The Nudibranch's are cool! But looks like you need another tank to grow aiptasia now too 😂
I still haven't dose anything since I started my project. I find you always have to correct the chemistry of the salt you use.

I need to re-do my frag tank too
lots of work.. but dooo it :)

I'm cautiously optimistic! Wish me luck!
You should do a test on this tank in a month or so and compare.
your vortech pumps blow water into the rock or under rock? Very nice idea, I could try hide my pumps like that :)
I’d just either hit the aiptasia in the jar with some aiptasia x or just got at it with a blade to make a ton of them pop up
Ill razor it !
What app is that your using to turn your pumps off. Doesn't look like Mobius.
I have the Ghl controller on that tank so Ghl app
How many tanks do you have in operation?

I have an auto tester testing it weekly. So far they are very low
Hi buddy what is dimensions of your tank in cm please
Awesome !
What dimensions has the tank ?
7'6x28x14
✌
What tank is that?
One I had custom made

Birds nest - I can't keep - I also had a candy cane for like 6months that looked terrible and died.
Go figure ;/
Same, birds nest has always been super flakey for me.
