the fact that i randomly stumbled upon this thing, i'm so glad it existed. have been using two monitors for a while but never questioned if there was an adapter that could connect both my monitors to one laptop*
Man, thank you very much!! I believe there's some steps on the manufacturer manual (StarTech) that might be wrong (at least it didn't work in my case) because I first connected both HDMI to the adapter and then I connected the adapter to my laptop and only one monitor was working. By doing the opposite as you show on your tutorial, it worked fine and now I can finally use both monitors at the same time (plus the laptop's one). Time to keep learning how to produce music and editing videos. I can use now both Davinci 18 and FL Studio!!! Thanks man!
I have a question, my work laptop is very restrictive and it won't let me install new drivers. If you connect the adapter without the drivers, does it run on a lower resolution? Thank you for the video!
I'm trying to setup two ultrawidescreen monitors (2560x1080) but the maximum resolution of the adapter is 1920x1200. This makes the image look elongated. Do you have any possible solution to this?
i just got mine today and wanted to play euro truck simulator 2 on it but it does not find run the game in extended mode. the 2 monitors connected work fine for browsing but games i cant get it working,. what do i need to run a triple monitor setup while only having 1 hdmi port on my gaming laptop
Hi! I have an Acer Nitro 5 and want to connect 2 monitors to it using a HDMI port and the Startech USb to HDMI adapter. Can you advise as to whether it will work via the 2 ports or not?

Did anyone find a fix for this issue yet?
@@Christie_Maybe I bought hexagonal extention screws for motherboard
Thanks Matt, but you should consider slowing down when you're talking.. It would make your demonstration easier to follow, and understand.
Thanks for the feedback - the irony is I get told I talk to slow, so I speed up, then it seems I'm too fast! The balance seems to be hard to find :)
Hey man I really appreciate the info can you tell me if the sound from the pc can come out to the monitor?

Could I run two synced videos at 1080p with this? thanks.
Thanks a lot.
Why is the display on the external monitors not covering the entire screen?
It is. It's only the destop background that makes it look like it isn't.

I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Will it work with windows 7??
How can I contact you?
