READING a vespa CLUTCH to find reasons for separating troubles | FMP- SolidPASSion |

analyse the clutch hardware, lid, pressure plate to find the reasons for your annyoing SEPARATING problems. its about 115mm clutches (cosa2 8spring, px old 7spring) the 108mm px old 6 spring is small and rarely makes troubles.
if the clutch behaviour changes do NOT just tighten the cable, but seach straight away for the reasons, as it will not get better, it will get worse.
to be analyzed, how u open "the clutch"
1) pressure plate and push rod
2) clutch lid striping marks
3) clutch basket striping marks
4) engine case stripeing marks
5) the clutch itself
(which usually is tested with the two tests, before putting it into the engine)
its a px200my engine where accidentially honda linings with too long flaps were used, in combination with a bad lid, a very fast gone bad clutch bearing and most probably tiny centering issues of the case, all together in a unlucky combination...
