Man, comment hit me hard. I remember watching this show with my parents as a youngster when it originally aired in the 90's. Those Friday (maybe Saturday?) nights staying up later with the folks to watch Red Green was...well, you know...nostalgia perfected.
@@chitownbangin Red Green was one of those shows I saw when I was young, but didn't start really making sense until about ten years ago. When I had a long talk with myself and admitted I wasn't young anymore.
I hear ya. Not perfect as you said (as no time or decade is) but just the feeling of mystery, adventure, the unknown, where computers, internet, etc. was all taking us...the world was such an open book just 3 decades ago. I don't know what happened but if I were to take a guess I'd maybe say the internet and social media (and all the bad surveillance etc. that went on with that like people no longer interacting face-to-face as much) really made things...idk, weird? Anyway, sorry for the verbiage and hope you have a good day :)
The times when multicoloured flag people were less annoying were better. Be it 90-s, 80-s, 70-s. I'm all for LGB movement, I learned this stuff in the 90-s, but I can't remember or give two sh*ts about the other letters.
I talk to myself all the time and when my husband ask why I'm talking to myself I just tell him "It's because I need expert advise." After a while he stopped asking! So see it's ladys too 😜 Stay Groovy Red ✌~N~💖
that is a most excellent response to that question. i wish i thought of it, but i guess that's why you're an expert. also, im totally stealing that. now *I* will be the expert!
i want to say something nice, but i can't think of anything good enough. curse my manliness and inability to share my feelings! just joshing, im not manly at all. but for some reason im still not good at the feelings part. oh well, i'll just say, im pulling for you, we're all in this together.
I've been living alone for many years now, and slowly talking to myself became the norm. It's a great way to trick the brain into not being so lonely. And like Red said, I can vent about things that others would be offended by.
My dad was like this. I should have spent more time at his place as a young adult. He loved it when I came over. I could kick my younger self for being "too busy"
for me it's a way to say what's on your mind in the moment and then be like "wait a second, that's actually kinda eff'd up, boy im glad no one else heard that" and then refine the thought until it's something i'd be okay with saying. we're all imperfect creatures, we make mistakes, we think bad things. but we are smart, we can learn, we can change, if we're willing at least. that's what makes us so wonderful despite it all.
This was great (as usual), been watching this show since it originally aired on local PBS station in Wisconsin with my parents in the early 90's. Great times.
Most of the very best comedians make mention/fun of our crazy human failings/tendencies/illusions. Red is at the top of the list. He, also, is surrounded by a cast of wonderful characters. I live in Minneapolis and cherish Red and his friends AND know a few folks around here who are just like them. All are wonderful people.
Absolutely fantastic! Wearing that flannel, you're a walking symbol of Possum Lodge pride! Keep those sleeves rolled up and your stick on the ice! Enjoy every minute in that cozy gear!
Loved watching the show as a youngster with my parents when it originally aired in the early 90's! I'm proud to say I'm bringing up 2 more young lodge members who, at the age of 6, specifically request we watch The Red Green Show sometimes before bed. They love your show, it's awesome! Thanks for the memories, both the old ones and the ones we're building to this day. I can't wait for the kids to get comedically "get" some of the scenes with Ranger Gord and how absurdly hilarious those were. The 'Adventures with Bill' scenes are priceless, just pure gold...that kind of humor is tough to find these days. Just pure, goofy, unpretentious fun. Love all.
My dog is a communist but I love her anyhow and don't tell the neighbors. Miss this show, glad the whole thing is on TH-cam. Bought my parents the full DVD set, money well spent on laughs
I don't know why we're like this, but it's just fine with me. My girlfriend is always baffled that me and my friends of 20+ years rarely get personal, and usually just talk about shared hobbies or interests. We get real when it's important, or we're going through something really rough. But it's for a purpose, like getting advice or needing to vent. Usually a single conversation, and then we move on. By contrast, my GF and her best friend phone every day, sharing every detail of a drama or personal problem as it develops. Nothing wrong that, but it's just not how I operate. I guess most guys feel the same way, or it wouldn't be a stereotype.
God bless that you are still alive and kicking. Sometimes you forget about good people, but they are usually still there because you didn't kick them out 3 drinks earlier.
My grandpa turned me on to your show. We used to watch it together. I miss those times but I have a son that likes to watch your show with me now. Thanks for entertaining us for all these years.
I talk to myself all the time. It's the only way of guaranteeing I have an intelligent conversation. Me, myself & I are pulling for you. We're all in this together...... 🌌🔭
@RedGreenTV I hope a channel admin sees this comment. I cannot find the background music for the Adventures with Bill segments. Is there any recording of just the music? The guitar and flute combo, I cannot find it anywhere. You are my last hope!
its okay to talk to yourself, and its okay to answer yourself. what you have to watch out for is that third voice that says "you're both wrong.....the house is made of fish sticks!".
Start with an earlier one. Season 1 Ep 1: *th-cam.com/video/FUXPuYZ4DEQ/w-d-xo.html* . He also has a FB page and you can subscribe to get occasional audio shorts.
This man is a good reason I became who I became I learned duct tape can fix anything I remember he was the duct tape ambassador with a life time free duct tape he’s part of the reason there was men if the women didn’t find you handsome they should atleast find you handy
Wish more people nowadays would listen to Red.
I have good memories watching this with my grandmother so while I still can I try and watch them with her when I go and visit
I'm 22 and just got back into watching him. I remember watching him with my dad when I was younger and not understanding a single thing he was saying😂
He's about due for a resurgence, and doesn't get enough credit for the current popularity of duct tape
He is the hero of men and duct tape rolls everywhere
Me too
♡♡♡ we are all in this together
If I could turn back time. Watching your show with my daughter.

The 1990's weren't perfect but lately I really been wishing we could go back.
the seventies seem like a golden age to me.
everything started going to crap in 1980.

Guys, for this channel you should hit the like button out of respect owed. Not just for this one clip but for a whole career of being on our side.
always do m8 Red green for life duct tape Eternal
We're all in this together!
Your right
Going up to grandpas cabin and finding this on PBS which was one of 4 stations up there at night just made it so special.
I find that the Social Media Age allows not just older men to talk to themselves, but damn near _everyone else_ to do the same if you think about it!
some of my fondest memories are when my dad and i would watch your show together. i miss him and your shows.
It's like getting together with an old friend.
i want to say something nice, but i can't think of anything good enough. curse my manliness and inability to share my feelings!

Words of wisdom!! ❤️💚

This was great (as usual), been watching this show since it originally aired on local PBS station in Wisconsin with my parents in the early 90's. Great times.
Happy 77th "Red"... keep your stick on the ice!!
Can't believe how far I had to scroll for "Keep your stick on the ice!" 🏒😆
Wish my grandpa being able to see the show!

Love from DeKalb Mississippi USA 🇺🇸
Today, I'm proud to be wearing my official Red Green flannel shirt that I got for Christmas. From my son.

Best ever to have met you at Ace Hardware. ☺️✌️
Was he buying the handyman’s secret weapon?
🤣 No. It was a tour of his years ago.
He appeared at local Ace Hardware stores while on his tour.
Come back red
I'm really glad that I got to see him in person
I'm really missing our Uncle Red - it's been about a year, now...(?)
What a cool guy!
I started watching "The Red Green Show" on Roku, I still love watching, all the older episodes. Thank you for one of my favorite shows.
Glad you enjoy it!
Thanks Uncle Red...
I just watched a Christmas movie that had Steve Smith as "the Tree Lot Guard"
An awesome surprise..
My dog is a communist but I love her anyhow and don't tell the neighbors. Miss this show, glad the whole thing is on TH-cam. Bought my parents the full DVD set, money well spent on laughs

Hey Red . .. miss you posting videos.. love your work. Its a nice escape from the way life has become these days ☮️❤️
That video was profound!
Love your show Red
I am just now finding out about this "Red Green". How have I lived 30ish years on this planet and NOT KNOWN about this man?!?
Me and my three kids fell in love with this show. "If it's not broken then you're not trying ". That was one of our favorite lines from the show.
I talk to myself all the time, I even tell myself jokes. I don't always laugh, though, I've heard some of them before.
Keep yer stick on the ice
🇺🇸🏆🏆🏆YOU OR FIRST🏆🏆🏆🇺🇸
I love Red Green show
MERRY Christmas Red Great show
Who else grew up watching this show and tool time with there dad when they were younger
Wise words.
Spitting straight facts
Best conversation I have is with myself. We never argue and never forced to be ashamed of being a man. Never feel like I'm 150% wrong too.
I don't know why we're like this, but it's just fine with me. My girlfriend is always baffled that me and my friends of 20+ years rarely get personal, and usually just talk about shared hobbies or interests.

God bless that you are still alive and kicking. Sometimes you forget about good people, but they are usually still there because you didn't kick them out 3 drinks earlier.
Please upload. 🥺
I forgot how much I loved this show back in my high-school days.
Keep yer stick on the ice.
My grandpa turned me on to your show.
We used to watch it together. I miss those times but I have a son that likes to watch your show with me now. Thanks for entertaining us for all these years.
Hilarious 🤣🤣 why didn't we get this show in Australia 🇦🇺
Absolute best advice ever!
I love your show and my dad would've loved it as well. Puts a big smile on my face to think about how he'd of laughed with me.
Wow, well said maine
The massive amount of duct tape on the desk is killing me!
Red rules!
HAPPY 4TH RED HAVE A GREAT ONE
I talk to myself all the time. It's the only way of guaranteeing I have an intelligent conversation.
Me, myself & I are pulling for you. We're all in this together......
🌌🔭
😂That's awesome
Been Super Constipated for a while now. Had to go to the doctor. He told me just to eat more Musturd.
🤣
Remember, I’m pulling for you. We’re all in this #together ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸 #Community 🙏✨💫
Has anyone else noticed that no new (actually old) segments have been put out?
Who needs antidepressant medication when we have the Red Green Show! 🤣
Red needs to make new content exclusively for youtube
Been talking to myself for many years.
I used to read it's a sign of sanity, so we're just extra-sane!
Somedays most intelligent conversation I have.
where did you go
Red Green what a concept
God i miss this
Is the seocnd question,"Will you divorce me?"
Why can’t USA have a president like Red?
That would be awesome, no denying it!
He taught me that duct tape can fix about everything, and it comes in mighty handy.
So funny!
i remember this from bbc bro, miss that show.
Man I love this show. I wish I could get it on a usb or digitally some how. Who has DVD players anymore.
What happened to the channel?? Miss yall
We bought the whole boxload of seasons. How do they come up with all that stuff?
When are you going to post a new video Red?
@RedGreenTV I hope a channel admin sees this comment. I cannot find the background music for the Adventures with Bill segments. Is there any recording of just the music? The guitar and flute combo, I cannot find it anywhere. You are my last hope!
The Rivard guys do talk to themselves a lot. We also got the Rivard Smirk.
Was this show the inspiration for Home Improvement?
How come you haven't posted a video in a year
this is some good fucing advice, especially in 23 xD
If i could just find one person worth talking too..................
.......................
Seems like a normal function to me Red 😃
So funny
Sometimes speaking to yourself is the only way to have an intelligent conversation.
its okay to talk to yourself, and its okay to answer yourself. what you have to watch out for is that third voice that says "you're both wrong.....the house is made of fish sticks!".
Awe man, he stopped posting.
Keep your stick on the ice.
If they don't find you handsome, they can at least find you handy
FANS: Which episode(s) should I share w/a friend as an introduction to the show?

Just recently asked myself if I was gonna eat the rest of that sandwich and I said no so I ate it
Love ya' Red. You can not talk to me as much as you want. I promise to not listen.
except for a 40 year old, my jack in the box still works
I'm just wanting what happened to you have not posted a video in a long time I'm just curious I hope and pray that everything is alright
