I saw that episode. It wasn't arsenic it was cyanide. The show explained how some ppl have a mutation where they can taste it (most ppl cannot) and it tastes like "bitter almonds" and before dying, they complained of the bad tasting water.
Arsenic is a heavy metal and I don't think anyone is able to taste it at all- which makes it very dangerous cause it naturally occurs in well water
