    great video, id have to disagree on the never using the Eb key on forked F because some models of student oboes don't have an F resonance key making that note in particular (at least in the second octave) quite stuffy sounding.

      @@GatorTotsMusik Very true!! Most of those instruments are older instruments though, so while you are completely right, most of the instruments students will be playing will have an F resonance.

Hope to see more of your content in the future. I'd love to hear your opinion on 3rd octave alternate fingerings if you haven't made a video on that already.

      @@GatorTotsMusik Thanks!! Yes I need to make some more soon. My opinion on the 3rd octave fingerings is pretty short though! I don’t use them because I generally don’t need them on my instrument, but many of my students love them!

      Thanks Kurt! I can’t agree more. It’s important information that many young oboists aren’t always aware of, which makes their life more difficult later on in their playing.
