Social justice artist fights to keep Black families in Chicago homes

Social justice activists in Chicago are working to fix long standing discriminatory housing policies in Black communities. The project has revitalized 22 vacant lots and helped nearly 75 residents.

Well, run for political office and introduce a law to congress to make it so. Or write, or call your state and local representatives and tell them you demand justice. Getting on TH-cam and virtue signaling for attention won't solve anything. Money may help in the short term as for a long term solution it is not sustainable, communities are stronger when they work together towards a common goal v.s. having things given to them. But I feel the same way, difference between me and you is I actually do something about it, not just get on you tube and pretend to care.

homes that old, anything improved with it would be welcome, fill in the stopgaps, insulate hardboard, refill the mortar joints after cleaning and treatment both inside and outside, paint or stain, saving to get another split mounting and drilling and some electrical tie in work, stronger newer and more solid silling for the doors and windows, insulated and more importantly sealed windows and doors, save up and get a newer furnace or hvac, place better venting outside of your home with a masonry bit and some steel wool, i heard there was a new material that could keep foundations from breaking apart even if it begins to break apart, all of that soil 2-3 feet down needs to be replaced with local fresh clean soil, have you gotten fiber optics yet, always a question hows the water,
